  1. I'm new here and am reading posts to see what I can do. I don't have a band but a revision RNY bypass. I am curious about the sleeve since I have regained my weight. Didn't know of the sleeve (don't think it was available in 2002 when I had my surgery) and am curious about it. The band I have some knowledge of but didn't know the issue of slipping.
  2. How exciting. I am new here and am reading many of the stories. I am glad to see yours because it is fairly new and I can watch your progress as I decide what I can and cannot do. I wish you the best of luck. I know you will do really well and loose all the weight you desire.
  3. for me to loose weight I have to eat less than 1000 calories a day.
  4. I am struggling to get back on track from having surgery in 2002. I had RNY revision bypass. In 1985 had the gastric band done. Lost only 100 lbs with both only to gain weight back. I never got below 202 the first time and with the revision RNY only got down to 222. I was/am hungry all the time. Does the sleeve help with hunger? I have all the side affects of the RNY (can't eat dairy, have BMs 10-14 times in 24 hrs) but the benefits are gone. I can eat sweets, don't get sick anymore and can consume a full meal at one sitting. If I could have a procedure that would keep me from being hungry I would be great. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it.
  5. One of the best vitamins I have found are expensive but they don't get stuck and they disolve very quickly. They are vita 4 life bariatric vitamins. A couple of times when I have tried to swallow them with not enough water and it felt like it might be stuck within 10-15 seconds I cough and you see a puff of smoke and the pill is moved or dissolved. Sounds weird but the casing disolves very quickly allowing the powder inside to get absorbed by you. I do well with them. Don't have finger cramping when I do.
  6. In Washington State we have enhanced driver's licenses. Can we use them to cross the border?? I was under the impression it worked for Mexico.
  7. I had a RNY bypass in 2002. In the last 5 years I have gained most of the weight back. I desire getting back on track. I felt good, physically and mentally, when I was smaller and would like to be there again. Glad to have found this site to help me prepare mentally and see what is out there to help me.
