Judy When is your surgery? I came down wih a cold 5 days before my surgery. I called Dr Jimenez and talked to him. I was starting to feel a little better by the day of surgery. I didn't have to cancel my surgery. He told me to take vitiman c and drink lots of liquids. I really rested and tried to fight it off.I would give him a call and tell him your symptoms. Please help! I had a fill Sat, 1.6cc. I am feeling no different than I did before. Do I need to wait awhile before I feel restriction? Or do I need a bigger fill? Has anyone had this problem after their first fill. Thanks marshaj

PB When you take to big of bite or don't chew enough. It gets stuck ( ouch ) It takes a while to pass or it comes back up.

mac0218 Anyone I told I was going to Mexico, freaked out. All I told them is that I am not a stupid person, I am doing this for my health and I certainly would not make this decision with out checking everything out. What it comes down to is Dr Ortiz is the best choice for this surgery. I had a great experience, everyone was so nice. I was really scared and I was put to ease as soon as I got to the center. I had surgery on Thurs and I was back to work Monday. I am a controller for a trucking company. I would do this again in a minute. After surgery walk as much as you can. When I came back to work Monday, I think I sat to long with out taking a break and I started to get some gas pains. I took a long walk and they went away. I have had my doctor for a long time and he was fine with my decision. I still have people ask me how I am doing and if I made the right decision going to Mexico and I tell them with out a doubt it was the best decision I ever made. Hi Cesar Welcome! I was back to work Mon after a Thurs surgery. I personally felt great. The surgery was a breeze for me, I never needed pain pills. I guess everyone is different. I did walk alot to keep from getting gas pains. I was on liquids for 22 days. Clear for the first week and then they said for the rest of the 22 days if you can't drink it, dont take it. Again I think all Drs are different. I didn't get hungry so it was pretty easy to stick to the liquid diet. I did have brain hunger, which was weird for me to realize that I wasen't really hungry, I just thought I was. I am really glad I had this surgery. I wish you the best of luck tomorrow. Marsene I am going back May 5th at 11:00, I think I am ready for a fill. I have been wondering about Kathy too. She gave me her phone number and I can't find it. I haven't had any PB, I am glad about that. I went back to work Monday after surgery and I have felt great ever since. I have no regrets about having this done. I am glad to hear you are doing good. Marsene, I am going through the same thing you are, I am getting hungry and I can eat pretty much anything. I am scheduled for a fill May 5th. I feel like I am losing control of my eating habits again. I dropped 10 pounds after surgery and now I seem to be at a standstill. Marsha

I was banded March 22. I have no regrets, everyone there was so nice. The OCC is very clean, you room is very nice. Doctors and nurses are very caring. I was back to work 4 days later. Not much pain at all, just a little discomfort. It was a great experience for me. I am so excited to start my new life with less weight. Dr Ortiz and his staff are the best!!!!

HI I had surgery on March 22, ( Thurs) I went back to work on Monday. I do have a desk job, I worked the whole day and felt pretty good. Took a short walk at lunch, didn't want to get any gas pains. HI Doing good, Drinking the nouriche too, I am suprised too that I don't get hungry. I am so glad I did this, I really didn't need to worry so much about having this done, they were so nice and it was so easy. I wish I would have done it alot sooner. Hi Tara I am having surgery on the 22nd. I should be back at the hotel on the 23rd. Maybe we will run into each other. Marsha

I am getting really scared, not so much about the surgery but the fills. I don't do well with needles. A blood test and an IV I can handle but a needle in my stomach. Scares me just to think about it. I thought mabe you being a PA you could ease my mind a bit on this. Down 6 lbs and 6 to go before next week.

I have been on the diet for 2 days, I am really hungary, hope it passes. Please let me know how your surgery goes. I am a little nervous. Are you parking at the border and taking the mexi coach over? Marsha
