  1. Hi All, I just got back from my first fill in TJ and wanted to report on what I did for accomodation. I wanted to stay in San Ysidro to make it easy to get back to the airport but was concerned about the reviews of the Best Value Inn. I looked on the internet for other options and decided on the Travelodge. It was clean and the people were nice and it was 2 blocks from the San Ysidro trolley stop. The price was about the same as the Lucerna and it really isn't nearly as nice so I think next time I would just book a later flight home and stay at the Lucerna. The bus/trolley connections were really easy, I caught the 992 from the airport to America Plaza and then the trolley (blue line) to San Ysidro. Everything is well marked and efficient and it took about 1.5 hours start to finish. Of course if you stay in San Ysidro you are walking distance to the Las Americas factory outlet mall (75 stores) which may not be a big deal to those of you who live in the US and have lots of factory outlet malls but to those of us who are deprived Canadians it was a great shopping experience! The fill itself was as easy as all have reported and the clinic as professional as always. The other thing to look out for was that I made the mistake of walking across the border on a Friday which I understand is the busiest day and it meant standing in a line for 1.5 hours to get back....oh well, live and learn. 2. Hi All, I'm arriving at SD airport around noon on the 14th and haven't decided where to stay yet. Is anyone else going then? Departing flight Saturday also around noon. Thanks, Ann
  3. HI Kelly, I'm so bad a keeping up with forums ...I'd love to see you but I'm at meetings those two days. I think I might try to go down either the 15th or the 22nd. How are you doing? Ann
  4. Hi All, I was banded on April 26th and while I'm not close to solid food yet I've been looking for specific recipes and direction for solid foods because I'm concerned that I won't get the proper nutrition if I'm eating very little. I found two books on Amazon.com: "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery: Over 140 Delicious Low-Fat High-Protein Recipes to Enjoy in the Weeks, Months and Years After Surgery" by Patt Levine; and "Recipes for Life After Weight-Loss Surgery: Delicious Dishes for Nourishing the New You " by Margaret Furtado. I ordered them but wonder if anyone has any other resources that I could check out. Thanks for your help, Ann
