I have never had an offical PB. The thowing up thing is what happens to me. I swallow something that feels to big, I can feel it not go down then, it comes back up. I would say within 5-10 minutes I am throwing up. The food & slime comes ups. I admit, I am used to doing this now & sometimes if I can't get it out the first time & have to thow up again. This is such a bad habit to be in & I am very concious of it when I am eating. But I have not learned...yet...that bread is something I cannot eat! Glad to know I am not the only one who has this problem!!! Thanks!

I was banded on May 25th & don't have any restriction. I did really well loosing weight before I could eat solid foods but I am pretty much holding steady now with a 19/20 pound weight loss. I get my fill on July 6th & can't wait! I loved the feeling of loosing weight! Everyday I had new (well, really old clothes I had grown out of) to wear!!! I can't wait for that feeling again! Dr. Ortiz was great! I am so happy that I have this band & it will help make me healthy & happy for life!!! Good luck with your fill! Post again & let me know how it goes.

I talked to Dr. Ortiz about this during my consultation. He said it was best to wait at least 1 1/2 years to have kids after the surgery. The band & port need time to heal into place. I was over weight before I had our daughter & am now 40 pounds heavier than before. Getting the surgery now & waiting until the weight is gone most likely will make the pregnancy go better & easier & you will not have the extra pregnancy weight to lose after! Good luck!!!

I am concerned that I will not be able to lose as much weight as I need before surgery. I am scheduled for surgery May 25th in TJ with Dr. Ortiz & have only lost 2 pounds. Has everyone lost the weight before surgery? If so, how? I am following the recommended diet but the pounds are just not coming off. Any suggestions?
