everything is going well--lost 15lbs since surgery - healing on the outside is going good - I have been walking such as going shopping- need to get in a walking regiman definatly- I have been cold lately also - tooo wierd -- SOLIDS -- lets see I have been to vegas for the weekend and have had family in town for a week - yes I have tried semi solids here and there - like cottage cheese - soft cheese - yogurt- beans --- mostly on the tip of my spoon or fork- trying sauces like crazy such as ones that people get to dip there food in ---again just dipping my fork or spoon in for taste --- tried a bite of a real flaky fish and it was fine- something I noticed though is when I tried these I was light headed after? I am not sure when I will go for a fill - how are you getting over to Dr ortiz on that day? If I can hitch a ride from teh airport that would be great I can probably make arrangements to fly in that day ----otherwise I will probably pay to have them pick me up and take me back due to I don't feel to comfortable going by myself over there ------Going to DIsneyland this weekend - leave Sunday and we will be back on Wednesday just in time to take showers and get to the rolling stones concert - then I return to work on Friday UGH - I hate my job... not really but don't want to go back full time ----- best wishes hear from you soon Cyndi

Hey Kyle- I am glad you 2 are doing good- you did very good on your pre- op lost 10 lbs----- teh popsicle was tooo sweet for me and still is - tell your MOM I said Hi - the fullness comes from being swollen so just imagine in your mind that is what you will fell like for the next few days and I also told your mom that the grumbles may start you need to just ignore them and sip water or broth or gatorade - be strong I know you 2 can do it and it will help me to - we are only banded 2 weeks apart so I am older than you LOL ---I will write more later keep me posted on how you guys are doing- p.s when you get to the hotel - in the mexican food restaurant they have the broth you will be eating - there is enough for both of you go ahead and share it ..... Everyone has been talking about the CLite you can get - don't bother at this time I have a ton that I brought back and you 2 are more than welcome to some ---- to see if you like it ---it is way to sweet for me. Chelley - you mention that during your full liquid stage you did the blending of the campbells soups - was this okay with Dr Miranda and what day after your surgery did this happen? - cause the info she gave me before the 3rd full week the only extra thing that I am able to add in is the yogurt and the tomato soup? I am doing fine on the liquid stage and I am 9 days out - tummy grumbles a lot but I just try to drink water when that happens - I was just wondering---I have not had a appetite which I read can be normal - and I have a fear that if I do try something I will vomit PB slime and I don' even have saline in teh band---lol but I guess it is kind of good to think like that? at least at this stage or I would be right along with some that I have been reading on another forum that actaully see how much they can eat before thier first fill which in turn they have said its like a second last supper ----sorry I spent too much money to be thinking like that ---AND I APOLOGIZE in advance if anyone on this board has done this-- it is just a trend that I see way to much------oh and by the way if anyone would like to know as of 10.25.2006 and having surgery on 10.16.2006 these are my stats before surgery 267 dy of surgery 255 today 245 goal 175 maybe more but that will come along later - my next goal is possibly to be at 230 by Christmas ---I will probably schedule my first fill in mid - december --- you have a wonderful day Chelley I love reading your posts - you did inspire me when I first cam on this board - and I was sad along with you during the frustration of losing - I am glad to see you posting again --- Cyndi

Hey Kevin- it'snice to see you are doing well I have not posted yet - just been reading alot on what I am supposed to be doing and taking easy---I am off work t till 11/13 - well today is one week- I actually drove my son to school but am having my husband chauffer me every where LOL - I am doing actually really good my pre op diet weight was 267 and pre surgery 10/16 was 255 and the scale this morning indicated 248 - I am only on juice, water and broth - I have tried a clear tortilla soup minus all the junk and it was delicious - I am not getting in all my liquids - I am just not that hungry--water is hard cause I want to drink it --sooo I have been really working on getting the sipping thing down but my mouth is really dry----popsicles are too sweet I have tried the ones they gave us at the clinic and a regular SF orange popsicle - I have grape and cherry also - gatorade is too sweet - I don't know if that is a good or bad thing LOL - my husband is so excited about me losing weight - my son keeps trying to lay on me - and then all of a sudden he is oh mommy I forgot are you okay---I just laugh---I was up at 6:30 on saturday and we went to walmart for groceries -walked walked walked then we brought that home I loved it I didn't have to unload the truck LOL then more errands then the SAM's club trip again walk walk walk my daughter was with us so she got to push teh second cart my husband was so funny he kept putting the heavy stuff in her cart - we got home about 1:30 -2:00 and then unloaded again no lifting for me.... then next he asked me if I wanted a pedicure - I jumped up so quick and was in the truck - yeah for me.... then i went out to eat with him and that is when I tried the tortilla soup strained and they know us so well that they didn't charge me for the soup- hey if I keep going there to eat out I won't need the little card that gets me smaller meals ---LOL as if I would use it --sorry I really don't want to draw attetion to myself - We leave for laughlin on friday and then to vegas on saturday - monday picking up realatives to bring back for a week- I love tehm dearly so we will have a nice relaxing weekend - we are driving but we have a Suburban so expect the ride to be comfortable -----talk more later

Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday I fly out tommorow the 16th of october --- packing as I speak---LOL taking camera and comfi clothes -----and the laptop.....I will post more tommorow

I am not sure who that might have been- not to many people know I am having the surgery? but hey who knows who my husband has told......I am still very nervous I have been biting my husbsnds head off poor guy - I even snapped at a lady at the store the other day - and then had to apologize like crazy---LOL - thnak you all for the well wishes - Kevin I will see you in TIJUANA ....

well i have less than a week left now - 4 days to be exact..I have been on almost all liquids since sunday --ate a few bites of chicken grilled by me on my salad today having a minimum of 2 optima slim fast chocolate shakes each day - and guzzling water water and more water ---Am I nervous HELL YEAH! I leave Monday for San Diego - surgery Tuesday - my friend Jaime will accompany me- okay I need that list that was going around of things to take with me ------HELP does anyone want to advise of what to take with me? I know slip on shoes was mentioned and comfy clothes - I got liquid tylenol and some titralac it is a antacid that are very small pills used to use them when I was pregnant.. comfy lounge around the house clothes are already waiting for my arrival back - thank goodness for clearance at WALMART lol .... I will take my camera with me so I can add to the pictures that have been provided by I believe Sandy ....

Hey Nicole my original date was to be tommorow but I had to postpone a week so I will be banded on 10-17 next Tuesday good luck to you- I alos heard about that MD that does the fills - I will go to MD ortiz aleast for a fill or more who knows - with the border being tighter at the first of teh year we will need passports--I don't have one yet will they let me back LOL anyway I am in Gold Canyon - hoping to get this thread alittle more active for us bandsters here in AZ- my friend will be traveling with me while the husband is home with the kids

Okay check in time --everyone in AZ .... less than 2 weeks for my surgery --still very nervous ---I pay for surgery Tuesday October 10th and it's a done deal...... I am starting that pre-op again this weekend I stopped last week when I had to move my surgery back a little ----working on getting the time off from work---everything is working well there also - only you guys - my best friend Jaime and my DH and kids know I am having the surgery - I also put in 10.00 in the jar at work with co-workers to see who can lose teh most weight at work LOL --I believe there are about 20 of us --- I feel like I am cheating but there weren't rules on how we could lose the weight some have joined weight watchers and gyms well I invested a little more this contest is in effect now through the end of the year Dec 31st - they willstart over at the begining another 10.00 and 3 monthes ---hope everyone has a wonderful weekend

Pammie thanks for sharing the pictures! wonderful --I was just wondering in the picture of one of you in the operating room lying on the table it shows possible a tube out of your mouth or Sandys? is that what i am seeing or is it something else? I was just wondering cause besides babies I have never had anything major done and my surgery is now 2 weeks fro tommorow and I am VERY NERVOUS I was thinking they just make you happy and put you to sleep and then you wake up a few hours later?

I can't but agree with all of the above - I found out a little late that we wouldn't getting the money intime for me to send or have with me for surgery on 10/10 so I sent Carolyn a e-mail asking for a diffrent date and she was able to reschedule in November for me - and shortly before Carolyn was leaving today I found out O would be able to still make it but the appointment was already booked that is okay I rather allow someone that can have it -please do but Carolyn was leaving for the day and I heard her say that Lori was still there so after I ot home made sure my friend and airline tickets could change to the dates that Carolyn provided before she left I MADE THE CALL BACK and prayed that someone was still there ---LORI answered the phone thank you thank you -----I HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED FORPre op 10/16 surgery 10/17 only one week later than what I was.. Again you are awesome - on the questions that I have had and the timely TAT for responses back wether e-mail or phone have been wonderful... AGAIN A BIG THANK YOU can't wait to meet the rest of the staff

Gold Canyon is east of Apache Junction on the way to Superior/Globe area at the base of the Superstition Mountains.. how are you doing being banded? I am getting very nervous I started my pre op yesterday so I oughta start getting really grumpy soon - less than 2 weeks till surgery thank you for the prayers...... Most definatly have to agree with you onthe weather --wouldn't mind it warming up a little bit to bring the temp back up in the pool have relatives coming at the end of november --would love to swim --but we will see--I can't wait to feel restriction

Nicole - see my post for Arizona I put in a topic for Arizona lke the bandsters from thestate of Washington- thought we could see how many we get and if not to far from each other meet up every once in a while or coordinate fill trips or surgery trips for the newbies ------sounds great to me-------- NICOLE- sorry you asked where I was from..Gold Canyon east of Apache Junction
