Banding recommended at an early age for some

I just saw the new statement by the Diabetes Foundation regarding earlier gastric banding for obese individuals with type 2 diabetes. They are terming obesity and diabetes as "epidemics" and strongly enforcing that banding should not be a last resort option because the earlier it's done, the greater chance of success. It's a very interesting article I think
