Steffy1123
I hope you are walking! You need to keep moving in order to loose weight. I suggest walking 3x a week for about 20 minutes... the weight should start coming off!!
Lachiz
Yes I phoned Miranda and she said the same thing I just wasn't walking enough. It's hard with my job I work out of town in a shack on the rigs. But iv started walking the length of my shack and do a total of 90mins of walking broken up into three 30min sessions. Thank you for your input. Still not to sure of my weight loss as each scale I step on here at camp I different lol.one more week and I'm home so I look forward to that. sspring
Steffy is right! You need to walk. I had stopped loosing as well but wasn't moving. I started at the gym on the treadmill and now walk 5x a day for 40 mins, I have lost 6 1/2 lbs in 2 weeks. The scale will show it in no time flat. Steffy, I had surgery the day before you did, seen you at the clinic! Glad to see you too are doing well. Keep up the good work and the positive attitude. Lachiz
Ya I end up loosing another 10lbs since then. I just seem to have plateaus every other week. My stating weight was 185 on Nov 20/13, I'm stuck at 152 now. Hoping to get down to 125 eventually. I don't think iv been 152 since mid teens. I'm walking total of two hrs through out my day, and and doing a squat and plank challenge. Really happy so far with the results, and shouldn't get frustrated with slow results its better then gaining right.
Faithful1
Hi, my name is Debrah and I live in California. I had Plication surgery on December 19, 2013 and initially I was miserable and hungry all the time. Getting through the different phases was difficult for me, and it really demonstrated just how undisciplined I was in my eating habits. But I made it and now I am eating regular food. Since my surgery date I have lost about 16 pounds. My start weight was 181 and today I weigh 165.7. I am really discouraged... I have been sitting at 165.7 for the past two weeks. I am hardly eating anything! A lot of foods still cause nausea and make me feel a bit sick to the stomach, so I feel stuck eating the same thing all the time to avoid feeling sick. But, still, I am not losing and I'm starting to get really depressed!
Lachiz
That was like me. I seem to loose some then go a couple weeks with out loosing. Just make sure u keep exercising. Last month I only lost 7lbs. If ur not loosing weight u could still be loosing inches. Good luck with everything
Steffy1123
Keep in mind that your body is constantly changing and adapting to the change. I'm done 55 lbs and I haven't lost any weight for 3 weeks so I was really discouraged. People kept complimenting me on my progress so I decided to go shopping. Well I'm down a size in pants and in shirts... So I'm definitely loosing inches but not seeing it on the scale. Make sure that you're keeping active. There are days where I don't have time to work out but even a 20 minute walk will make a difference. I also suggest finding ways to burn more calories i.e. stairs not elevator, parking on the furthest spot in the parking lot, walking the mall, when you clean add some muscle into it and deep clean (Put the swifter away and get on your hands and knees). These little things have made a difference to me on days where a good workout isn't possible. But I suggest measuring yourself or seeing how your clothes are fitting. There are also going to be periods of no weight loss... that's okay.. it's just your body adapting

But, still, I am not losing and I'm starting to get really depressed! Hi Debrah. A couple of other things to think about. First, it might depend on the time of the month. Second, some meds make it impossible to lose weight. My doctor put me on a very mild dose of Lexapro and swore it wouldn't affect my weight. I just couldn't lose anything no matter how I ate or exercised (hence my decision to have the plication). When I went to the OCC, I forgot the medication so I was effectively off of it for 7 days. The weight flew off. Then, my doctor didn't want me to stop cold turkey, so he had me take 1/2 the dose. Guess what, the weight loss totally stalled notwithstanding having had the plication. Now I'm weaning off completely and the weight loss is starting back up.
