How long should I expect my Insuranc Co to take before approval?

I have some new Ins taking effect on Jan 1. I am doing as much prelim work done now such as initial visit with the surgeon and bloodwork, nutritionist and shrink. Im a 43 BMI so you know where Im at. I am expecting the Ins Co to take about 6 weeks. Am I even close to the general time frame?

Hi Guilly.....Most insurance companies HAVE to give you an answer within 1 month. If they would happen to deny you then you have so many days to appeal. Good luck!!! Robin
