I'm getting excited and nervous for my surgery on April 30th, in Denver, CO with Dr. Kirshenbaum. I have spend the last few days browsing the forum and reading about everyone's trial's and tribulations. I am so proud of you all already and feel like I have some friends in my corner on this long, scary journey. > Thank goodness I found this website, and with it, people who have climbed the mountain in front of me sucessfully! Thank you for the great information and inspiration!! I'm sure I will be back to let you all know how it went...wish me luck! I hope you too can find the weight loss path you are most comfortable with, and are able to be successful!! This has been on my mind for a couple years now, and I finally decided it was time to take care of ME for once. My husband and kids will reap the benefits in the long run! Bethany > Thanks Bethany, it really helps to read the good and the bad when making such an important decision...I haven't been contiplating for a long time, but feel that this is the best way for me personally to get the weight off and to get healthy for myself and my family. I will be a better wife and mother when I am happier with myself. I had an appt with my family dr. yestersday and he is in full support of my decision. I have my first consult on April 23/08 to get more info on the procedure and post op details. I have done alot of research on my own and found that the other options are much too invasive for me.
