Inconsistency in restriction? Any advice?

I think the main problem I've been having is the inconsistency of the restriction. A bite of anything before noon has to come right back up, and in the evenings I can eat a whole hamburger and still be deathly hungry. Twice now I've had fills too tight that needed emergency unfills, but at the same time, those same fills were at times not very restrictive. Has anyone else found it to be so extreme? Any advice on how to be more consistent on the food intake?
