i am sure the diet would probably work ( i haven't even looked at the plan) as eating/losing is simple less calories in and more calories burned equals weight loss. The band is a tool that will help you with portion control and hunger control. You have to do the eating part and consume less calories, so if you think it is healthy and a plan you can sustain for life....go for it.

My Husband has been on it and lost 30 pounds in 6 weeks. He wasn't super overweight just 30 lbs too much. I tried it for a week and I have to say I was starving! You can only eat 500-700 calories and its very strict. I could do it. Basically no fat, dairy,you can't mix certain veggies. My husband has amazing discipline and he basically would eat

1/2 protein bullet in the morning

1/2 protein bullet for lunch

1 apple

1 cup of strawberries

5 oz of lean meat or fish for dinner with

cherry tomatoes


2 pieces of Melba toast

That was it.

He loves the diet. I don't know how he does it. It does work if you follow it. Its just not something I think most of us can stick to for ever.
