  1. Yes, all of that information will be private. Chad
  2. The emails went out to the email addresses the OCC has on record for you from when you first contacted them. MANY people have outdated emails. Large newsletters like that can also quite often wind up in your spam or junk mail folders. You can also take a look at the Announcement at the top of every forum here on this site and register from there as well. http://www.occforum.com/index.php?showannouncement=3&f=2 Chad
  3. We have about 250 people registered at the time I'm writing this. It should be interesting. Just please bare with us this first week as we iron out any kinks with learning how to use the software/interface. There is also a "Record" feature that we will most likely try out so we can post the videos later for people who weren't able to make it. Chad
  4. Are you receiving an error or getting any kind of message in response to editing it? Chad
  5. Sure, I don't see a problem with that.

  6. After reading the Invision forum I've seen quite a few people that are having problems with the editor. I'll see what I can do to find a fix for it. You can also try going into the My Settings section of your account profile and disabling the Rich Text Editor. I read that it helps for some people. You should see a checkbox for "Enable visual (RTE) editor? ". Just uncheck that option.
  7. What browser and version are you using? It sounds like the whole page isn't loading for you. Do you have javascript disabled?
  8. I've created a simple application on Facebook for the OCC Forum. This should allow you to log into this forum using your Facebook account. Here are some steps if you want to try it out. 1. Log into your Facebook account. 2. Come to the OCC Forum site and log out. 3. Go to the Sign In page on the OCC Forum site and click on the Connect with Facebook logo on the right side of the page. Let me know if you have any success or problems with using it. Chad PS - Here is the OCC on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=58817709219
  9. 1. There are two different photos you can upload. One is your avatar and one is your profile photo. You should see both options in your account settings. Click on your name in the upper right and choose My Settings. Then choose the Profile tab. You should see links to both Change Photo and Change Avatar. 2. That's just a Twitter like status you can update. It's optional. If you go to the forum home page you can see a table in the right hand column for Recent Status Updates. That should give you an idea of what it is. 3. The "warn status" isn't something you need to worry about unless you cause some trouble on the forum. It's a way of tracking and warning members that are causing drama, posting spam, etc. 4. I'm not sure on the Photobucket thing since I don't use it. I imagine you need to download the photos from Photobucket to your computer first. Then create a Gallery on this site and upload them to the Gallery. If you click on the little Help link in the upper right of the page under your name you will find a section on Using the Gallery.
  10. I just updated the forum, gallery and blog with the latest releases. Let me know if things are working for you now.
  11. Excellent! I thought that might be the problem. Internet Explorer 6 was plagued with bugs and problems and anytime I hear about something like this happening that's usually the reason.
  12. Diana, would you happen to know what browser and version you're using? In the latest versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer if you click the PM link under the member's avatar you should get a text box pop up right in the middle of your screen. Chad
  13. Sure, lets give it a try I also moved the clothing exchange to a sub-category of Off Topic since it seems to be rarely used.
  14. Okay, so there has been quite a few questions about what that "Reputation: 0 Neutral" is that you can now see on your profile pages and I'll do my best to explain it. Keep in mind that this feature is only being tried out and may be disabled at some point in the future since it can be abused. When you read a Post you will now see a couple of options in the lower right hand corner of the post that will allow you to " Vote this post up" or " Vote this post down". When you find a post to be particularly helpful you can vote it up. If it's useless spam or something negative you can vote it down. This starts to slowly build a point based reputation for the member that created the post. This allows the community to see which members are most often found to be helpful and also weed out the more troublesome members that like to start drama or create negativity. It's similar to reputation systems you find on Ebay and many other sites. Once a post receives a certain number of positive votes it will become highlighted and can more easily be spotted as a sort of community favorite. Important things to note! To help prevent abuse, you are only able to vote up three posts per day so choose wisely. You are only able to vote down a post once per day. This is subject to change. There are Reputation titles that members can earn when their combined posts reach a certain number of votes. Here is the breakdown. This is also subject to change. Bad = -30 points Poor = -15 points Neutral = 0 points Good = 10 Points Excellent = 20 points As I said before, this is only being tried out for now to see how it works. The general idea is that using a system like this might get people to put a little more thought into what they're posting and maybe think twice before posting something negative. If I start seeing too many complaints it will be disabled. Let me know if you have any comments, questions or suggestions. Chad
  15. Still working on the upgrade, but you should start seeing a lot of new features. Especially related to member profiles and control over many, many things. Once I have everything cleaned up and running stable I'll create a post that outlines some of the main features for everyone.
  16. Hi Everyone! I'll be upgrading the forum, gallery and blog to a newer version later this afternoon (12/2) so there will be a little downtime. Everything should be back up and running within 20 to 30 minutes once I get started on it. The new version will look a little different, but everything will basically work the same way. Chad
  17. As far as I know there has only been one member to have their account completely banned (beside spammers). Most of the others left on their own. If you're getting bad PMs from people you can click on their name in the message and you should see an option to "Add to PM Block List" and that should stop it. Edit: You can also do the same thing in most email clients and webmail sites if they're sending things directly to your email address. Just create a filter to send all email from that address straight to the trash folder.
  18. I think there is some confusion between a scientific study and a testimonial. The positive results you might be finding on Google are just people talking. The studies that were mentioned were double blind studies performed in a controlled environment. It's not possible for them to be "blowing smoke". That is the entire reason to perform studies in that manner. The subjects of the studies DO take the hCG. Well, at least half of them. The other half would be given a placebo. It has been proven to not work on a scientific level. I see a few people here that say they've never heard of it. Or they're having a hard time finding a place to get it. Ever wonder why that is? My guess is because it was proven to not work over 30 years ago. A man was actually put in prison for making false claims about the effectiveness of hCG for obesity. With that said, there's no harm in trying if you want to spend the money on it. The mind is a powerful thing and in the end people are going to believe what they want to believe. If it works for you and you lose some weight that's awesome! Losing weight is the main goal and if for whatever reason it helps you out then that's great. I'm certainly not trying to start an argument...I was just presenting the facts that I found when I researched this a while back. Edit: I thought I would add a link to this page. There are many references at the end of the page that link to information about many of the studies that have been done. They all come to the same conclusion. These studies have been performed all over the world. Not just in the US. http://www.dietscam.org/reports/hcg.shtml
  19. I'm throwing in my two cents as the husband of a bandster...not the site admin I've researched this to some extent in the past. There is no scientific evidence that supports the use of HCG for weight loss. Period. Believe me, I've looked. People that lose weight on this diet either lose weight because of the highly restrictive 500 calorie diet or placebo effect. Not from the HCG directly. If you do enough research, it's not hard to find this out for yourself. It's beyond me why registered nurses would be distributing this as a weight loss solution. They may be wonderful people, but that seems a bit irresponsible on their part. I would be interested to see any factual based evidence they use to support those actions. Chad
  20. Rady Children's Hospital Autism Discovery Institute Obesity Control Center donates 3% of every surgery fee to the Rady Children's Hospital Autism Discovery Institute. The understanding and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder is rapidly evolving. To keep pace with this rapid evolution and provide patients and families with a central location for evaluation, treatment and ongoing guidance, Rady Children's Hospital has made a commitment to our community. This commitment is the Autism Discovery Institute. - New facility including the Autism Diagnostic & Treatment Center and the expanded Toddler School. - The central location and expanded services will help us to serve approximately four times the number of families. For more information and to make additional donations please click here. Alexa's Story In the 2006 Fall Issue of Rady Children's Magazine, we introduced you to 2-year-old Alexa Ortiz, diagnosed with autism at 14 months and attending Rady Children's Toddler School. Her father, Dr. Ariel Ortiz, and mother, Cynthia (shown here with Alexa in October), tell of their family's journey: "We were chosen to have a special child with special needs. How and where would we meet those needs? What would be the outcome? We asked these questions as we held hands and prayed. The response to our prayers was almost immediate, as we received a call from the Toddler School at Rady Children's. The first few weeks were tough, but a couple of months passed, and we got to know the whole staff - warm and compassionate experts teaching our child to learn." "Rady Children's has not only touched us; it has profoundly changed our lives forever. It has opened our minds to fulfill our duty to serve and our spiritual need to give, thereby fulfilling one of God's most important rules: Love others as you love yourself." "For Alexa, we are proud to say that she has graduated Toddler School, acing every test and exceeding every expectation...even ours." The Ortiz's were so touched by their experience with Rady Children's that they have become members of the Children's Circle of Care, ensuring that other children will always have access to the same level of care.
  21. It must be a ticker that some people use in their forum signatures. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of control over what people add to their signatures. I'll try to do a database search and see what accounts it might be coming from.
  22. I just wanted to let everyone know that this problem isn't isolated to only this forum. It's happening to forums all over the net and the software company that created the forum software is working on a patch to fix the problem. Here is a short announcement they sent me earlier... I will update this forum with the patch as soon as it's released.
  23. You've gotta watch the closing / The first The 2nd will need the / to close the block...like this ' alt=' to close the block...like this '> The correct version would look like this: [img=http://www.visitmonaco.com/_images/uploads/aboutmonaco_area1.jpg]
