  1. Hi, I find it hard as well , maybe if I hadn't had the band I would think this was great but I to can eat everything without feeling sick ,but that caused me to lose the band in the end anyway so I think it is a thinking adjustment.
  2. Hi I had sleeve in November after my band slipped the year before. It is definitely not as easy as the band. I can eat everything also, so have to make better choices in the foods I eat. I follow the protein veg friut carb rule. and it is finally starting to come off. Keep a food journal and see if that helps. Good luck
  3. Hi all , I'll be 3 weeks out on Monday and feeling great, NO pain what so ever. Looking forward to mushies and starting to lose weight. I'm 22lbs down including preop loss. I know it could be more too much soup not enough water.
  4. Hi guys , I found the Sleeve easier than lapband to get over as less pain although the drain made it harder to walk around places. Once that was out I felt fabulous. The staff were amazing as usual and after switching hotels life was good. I was bored as I went by myself and stayed a whole week but caught up on some reading. After my adventure traveling home which I have posted about I'm exited about losing the weight again. Will be on here loads.
  5. Hi all , well I had my vsg on Monday and after a whole week traveled back yesterday morning. I hadn't slept Saturday night as I was supporting my daughter by text while she gave birth to my gorgeous grandaughter. Jole picked me up at the hotel at 6am and I did the 1st leg of my journey to Salt lake city no problem. I only had 15 mins to connect to my next flt the other side of the airport. My bright idea was to run and I made it much to my incisions horror. I hadn't really sipped on anything and as I was on day 7 after my surgery decided to have soup from Quiznos. They only had cheese and brocolli so I added some milk got on the flt and ate the fluid part. I was sitting at the front with the 1 and only crew member next to me. I was sweating and hot and felt faint ans told her this while we were taxing for take off. ohoh the next thing I know the plane has aborted takeoff is returning to the gate and the inflight crew is holding my face in her hands. I threw up and felt much better. EMS and police come aboard and I get them to take me out of the cabin to get some fresh air. After they take my vitals and sugar levels and much discussion I get them to let me to carry on. So lesson learnt no running and eating too fast on NO sleep. The flt arrived back and hr late where I went to meet my new grandaughter Kiera. I emailed Dr Martinez just to klet him know what happened but I feel fine.
  6. Hi Well I started at the Camino real. I know I don't speak Spanish however I couldn't make myself understood and ended up with Chicken soup with chicken, rice and celery in and couldn't get apple juice the next day. I ended up switching to the Marriot where they spoke english and as soon as I said I was a patient of Dr ortiz they bought broth popsicles and water. I walked up the hill to the grocery store and bought apple juice and drinkable yoghurts. I couldn't get wifi in either room but had success in the lobby of the marriot and it was nice to sit by the pool.
  7. Hi Leslie, I arrive to SAN abot 6pm so hope to be at the hotel 7ish. I'm travelling alone so would love to hang with you. Hope to see you there.
  8. Hi Guys So 4 more days until my surgery. I'm not nervous as I trust Dr O and had a good experience with my lapband surgery. and very excited. I've lost 11lbs of the 13lbs I need to lose for preop and confident when I get there I would've reached my goal. I'm staying at the Caminoreal and was wondering if I should bring my bullet for protein shakes. What do you think? Anyone else going to be there?
  9. Hi , yep I had to order it online and now just need to use it. Thanks I'll start expanding my lung capacity.

  16. Hi anybody being sleeved how are you doing on your pre-op diets? Shari?
  17. Hi Guys So I managed to get the $$$$ together and I'm coming to see Dr Ortiz in November for the sleeve. I gained ALL (110lbs) back. My body definately had a memory and went straight back to its fat days.lol Being skinny for a year and a half was a tease so I'm more self conscious and become hesitant to do things. I am really looking forward to getting back to the gym and wearing all the new clothes I bought in the last 2 years. I wish there were more posters about the sleeve and will probably be hanging around that thread more, but I had to come see my band family.
  18. Hi plastic surgery. I had reached my goal and was going to have a body and boob lift. They have a computer station by the nurses. good luck. I'm looking forward to hearing about the 1st week.
  19. Thanks Pammie. Surgery day is November 8th. I'm more worried about this one ,but I can't handle the weight gain and the pain in my feet and knees. This money should have been for my PS but Being skinny again will be heaven.
  20. Hi everyone, I am booked for a sleeve after my band had to be removed and I gained ALL (110lbs) back. I would love to know how people are doing a couple of months out. Nicole
  21. Hi I'm so glad you posted. I had my band feb 2008 had great sucess and lost 110lbs BUT then suddenly couldn't keep solids or fluids down and long story short had to have emergency removal. I have gained all my weight back and have been looking into the sleeve. How long did you have to stay in TJ? was it really different from banding. Thanks
