I had it for a month and I'm 2 months out and yesterday I had shoulder pain. It doesn't happen often, but I sometimes it will come on. Motrin will take it away. I feel your pain, mine was awefull my stomach never hurt, I felt fine. I was just the shoulder pain. Good luck hope your feel better soon!!! Donna

I too went thru the same issues as you, When I went for my fill I was higher weight than my surgery!! I was depressed, hopeless that this was not going to work for me. That again I was going to fail at one more attempt to lose weight, and what made it worse was the huge price tag!! I finally realized this wasn't going to be a quick fix, just a tool to help me lose weight. I needed to stop the snacking and sweets. I think I'm making progress just focusing on clean eating and excersice!! The biggest frustration is a pound or two a week isn't much and I have to stay focused!! I hope you will forgive youself and let the shame go and just call it a learing experience. I know for me its hard to let it go..... Best of luck to you, you will have success!!! Donna

The fill it self does not take long, the trip out of Mexico does, so give yourself enough time. I'm from Cali so we parked at the boarder and took a cab in, but we lucked out last trip, someone was leaving in a van and offered us a ride!! That was a huge blessing!! The time before it took us 3 hours to cross the border. It was easter weekend though. The van ride took about an hour and he did not go thru TJ. Best of luck to you!! As far a feeling restriction, you will drink liquids for 3 days. Then you will feel restriction. I did go back and have more put in. I can tell a big difference. I think I could use a tad more fill. But I don't want to risk it. As long as I watch my snacking and sweets. I think I'm ok!! Donna

if you have to go back for a re-fill or a un-fill they charge you $30 for the needle. I think that's fair! Donna

I looked them up on the internet, they say you shouldn't take them more than a week! I was afraid to take motrin, since there was nothing in my stomach so i just took tylenol. Hope you feel better soon!! DOnna

I haven't had a problem with any food, bagels I had to really make sure to eat slow and chew chew chew, and sausage meats, chew chew chew, I'm going back today for a tighter fill, so I may not beable to eat anything now Donna

when I went back for a fill at Occ they said atleast wait 30 minutes.

I did not bring any expensive jewlery to Mexico, and when I went for a fill I turned my rings around. I felt safe being there but I didn't want to risk it!! All you need is your Divers License and Birth Cert. I gave my hubby all the money and credit cards..don't over pack!! Best of luck, Donna

Holly, I was filled 2 weeks ago and have very little restriction, I'm going back this weekend to get more of a fill. If you can go back anytime and get more fill. I don't know where you went Occ or somewhere else? Occ charges only 30 for the needle the re-fill is free..... Best of luck to you!! Donna

Sad to say, I don't think you will ever be able to gulp, I too am a water gulper!! after my fill, it's like after surgery sip, sip, sip, you can feel it going down..... I may not be like that for everyone, but that's how mine was.... Good luck to you all Donna

If I am eating too much or snacking it's because in mental, not physical!! I'm trying to watch my portions and calories. But I was under the impression when you had the right fill amount, you felt stuffed? Is that correct???

Hey Nicolek, I have a fill app next weekend, which is 2 weeks from my first one!! For me it's not the cost, I'm in So California, it's the time and energy it takes to get over there, It took us 3 hours to cross the border 2 weeks ago!!! and I live 2-3 hours away. I want to get a fill asap, to start losing weight!! what are you going to do? get a fill in Canada?? Donna

yes I went back to Occ, they filled me 1.8, I did send them a email. If you get too full do you experience more PB-ing? if your too tight? I know I have heard of people that can't even keep water down. As far as the size of band, I don't have a clue!! thanks for your help!! Donna

Hello All, I had a fill on Sat. and today was my 1st day eating, can anyone tell me what you are suppose to feel like? I don't fell all that full, I also read before that it takes a few weeks to kick in?? How can that be true?? Do I need more fill??? Thanks, Donna :-?

Hey Kim, I'm in so california, and lived in Clarksville, TN for 4 years!! I was banded 2-22 it wasn't all that painful, just a little uncomfortable. I haven't vomited except, once when I didn't chew something well. I just got a fill and haven't started eating yet. so we will see. Everyone is different, food affects everyone different. Donna

I gave up diet coke a few months ago, and am now on a tea kick, green, white, black. You can get creative, and I use Stevia to sweeten its a natural leaf that has no sugar in it! and NO chemicals. I really don't miss it all that much!!! Good luck! Donna

I really struggled with the post opp diet, and did gain some weight back!! AWWWWW I had my first fill today so am planning back on my weight loss journey!! The 3 week liquid diet was the hardest, be prepared!!! It's more mental than physical.... Best of luck!! Donna
