I could hardly eat anything for like the first 2 weeks after surgery...and then as I healed and the swelling went down...I could eat whatever I wanted...just like before. I was very frustrated at first until I finally got my first good fill. You just have to be patient...make good food choices and know that there will be a time here real soon that you will have restriction.

mine itched like crazy...it is just healing up

sounds heavenly!!!! I want some right now! lol

hey there Odette I did the slimfast and a lean cuisine plan...it was def hard...but I drank broth in between...every time I was hungry...or ate things that were "free" food on weight watchers...like cucumber...green peppers...celery. That seriously helped me...even though it was not what I was wanting to eat...it helped me to have the saltiness of the broth...and crunchiness of the raw veggies.

I had a slice of a quesadilla with salsa slathered all over it! It was sooooo good.

I paid cash...sorry.

thank you everyone! It does feel pretty amazing I must admit! My original goal was 175...which I am at...but I always knew I would want lower than that. I am now kind of going 20 pounds at a time...to see how I look. I will just stop whenever I am liking what I see! I honestly think it will be at around 150 though. THEN...I want to get my TT and boob lift at some point! I have to save up for that one though!

for me...the feeling of "fullness" is totally different. In a sick and weird way...I miss the old feeling of being "full". Now...I am just not hungry..and I feel satisfied with very little.

Hey Sabrina, way to go on the normal cholesterol and blood sugar! That's fabulous news!!!
I take a liquid iron supplement that is clear and virtually tasteless (except for a slightly minerally taste that you get used to) and it doesn't create constipation either. It's called Spa Tone and you can get it at Whole Foods or Victoria's Health on Lonsdale for about 26$ for a month supply. It's pricy, but I find it way better tasting than Floradix, the other liquid iron supplement that most places in Vancouver sell. I usually add it to my morning protein drink or glass of water. Sorry american friends, I haven't been able to find it in the states at all...
Babe
I am going to look for that at Whole Foods! I just tried to give blood and they won't take it...said my iron is too low.

lol....Its a Texas Thang...lol
They are GREAT! You take Jalapenos and cut them long ways and de-seed. Fill each with cream cheese (fat free) and wrap each in 1/2 peice of bacon. Then you take 2lbs of ground turkey and 2 pounds of Ground Sausage and mix together. "ball" the meat mixture around each half of Jalapeno to make a round ball "egg". Wrap the "egg" in a full peice of bacon and the wrap in foil and put on the grill for about 40 mins. YUMMY!~!!!
I used 6 Jalapenos, which made 12 Armadillo Eggs.......
Carrie
That sounds soooo yummy!! I think I need to try that!!

I have never even had protein shakes post band...I make my own smoothies with greek yogurt and whatever I feel like blending into it. I have never been able to find a diet shake I like. The greek yogurt I buy has 24 g of protein in it and is only 120 calories.

You will know if you are drinking too much or too fast...it will either not feel good...or come right back up. I suck/chew on ice all day. I know some will give me a hard time about ice and the teeth...but I like it and I get my fluids in!

Hello everyone,
I'm terrible about posting on here, but I couldn't think of a better group of people to share my victory with than you great bandsters! I weighed in this morning at 199 lbs!! Finally I'm in Onederland! I moved to CA a couple weeks ago and have joined a walking and hiking group so I've been really getting out there and working my booty and its paid off! 5 lbs lost in the last week alone! I am super excited needless to say - especially since I've been plateaued for the past couple of months. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Gin @->---
Yay!!! Good for you!! :cheerleader: :lb16: :lb13: :lb24: :lb21:

I am not expecting an exact answer...lol...but I was wondering to myself...with losing over 150 pounds...how much extra weight I have on me just from saggy skin....hmmmm. Anyone that has had a TT and or lift...how much more weight had you lost after surgery?
-
Since you posted this in the Post op Diet and Food section... it had me wondering just what are you eating?
HAHA...OOPS...WRONG SECTION! I honestly eat everything...just small amounts. I try to eat healthy though...but I DO cheat because that is just the way I can control myself from big cheats! My very fav treat as of late is FF Greek Yogurt. 24 G of protein...add a little fruit and splenda and it is sooooo good!

I have never had to use my card and I order kids meals all the time. I have never had one person at a restaurant ever say anything! I live in AZ...but I have ordered kids meals off menu's in CA and OK as well.
