  1. I am not expecting an exact answer...lol...but I was wondering to myself...with losing over 150 pounds...how much extra weight I have on me just from saggy skin....hmmmm. Anyone that has had a TT and or lift...how much more weight had you lost after surgery?

  2. Holly,

You look wonderful, what a great story when were you banded? how long did it take for you to loose all that weight?

You give me and everyone on this forum hope

    Thanks Janet

I got banded 02/08/08 and it has taken me just that long to lose this amount...still a chunk to go though. :) Thank you!

  3. I was on my blackberry when I was looking at your pictures, had to go to the PC so I could see better! Holly those pictures are so good! You are very attractive and there is a big difference between the you then and the you now!!!!

thank you! I am still working towards my goal...within this year I expect to be there!! :)

  4. OK..

I have a question, I know most of us can eat more on some days vrs others.....I have a question as far as "slider" foods. Lets take salad, or popcorn or ice cream, or chips and dips....These are sliders for me. How much do you eat of these.....I know this is a crazy question, but are we only still only suppose to be able to eat 1 cup? I am trying to stay away from these foods, because they go down to easy for me and I can eat ALOT of it.

I would like to know, do you eat how much ever of slider food that you can eat or do you stop at 1 cup? Being that I can eat alot of these, does this mean I need a fill?

    Carrie

I am able to eat a lot of these foods too...although as soon as I eat regular food...I can't eat that much. My thought on a fill...is that I don't need one...INSTEAD...I need to make better food choices. :dash1:

  5. Ok so i went for my pre op testing. Everything went well till the ultrasound. They said i have gall stones so i have to have my gall bladder removed before i can go forward with the banding :( Its not to terrible at least i will still get the band :) Wish me luck having 2 surgery's in 1 month :)

then you will have everything all taken care of and have no worries!! I think it is great! :)

  6. Funny you would bring up Greek Yogurt - I was reading about it's values yesterday!

Something else I was checking out is Quinoa.

Anyone eat any Quinoa? My husband family is Japanese and eats rice like a staple. I was searching for a healthy alternative. I am wondering if it is band friendly. Personally I don't miss rice in my diet. For the most part I do not miss breads, rice, pastas at all. Which is strange to me, because I thought I would. :D

I have never tried that...but wow! I just looked up the info on it and it has a ton of protein too! I might have to try it. I wonder how hard it is to find...probably Whole Foods or something?

  7. I eat Greek Yogurt...it is fab and has so much protein. I mix in fruit and a little splenda. I get the Fat Free one.

  8. I did the shakes at breakfast and lunch...Lean Cuisine and a salad for dinner (with vinegar). I had done the Atkins diet before and lost a ton of weight...but I just couldn't do it again. Everytime I would try it...I would crave bread like CRAZY...and SWEETS. I thought the other way was easier. I also drank chicken broth through the day at least once...if I got too hungry. I know it is a lot of salt...but it worked for me!
