OK..
I have a question, I know most of us can eat more on some days vrs others.....I have a question as far as "slider" foods. Lets take salad, or popcorn or ice cream, or chips and dips....These are sliders for me. How much do you eat of these.....I know this is a crazy question, but are we only still only suppose to be able to eat 1 cup? I am trying to stay away from these foods, because they go down to easy for me and I can eat ALOT of it.
I would like to know, do you eat how much ever of slider food that you can eat or do you stop at 1 cup? Being that I can eat alot of these, does this mean I need a fill?
Carrie
I am able to eat a lot of these foods too...although as soon as I eat regular food...I can't eat that much. My thought on a fill...is that I don't need one...INSTEAD...I need to make better food choices. :dash1:

I am either sipping on water or chewing ice ALL day long...I have never had a problem unless I try and "chug" it.

You look GREAT!!!! Wooohooo!! :lb16:

Ok so i went for my pre op testing. Everything went well till the ultrasound. They said i have gall stones so i have to have my gall bladder removed before i can go forward with the banding Its not to terrible at least i will still get the band Wish me luck having 2 surgery's in 1 month
then you will have everything all taken care of and have no worries!! I think it is great!

Funny you would bring up Greek Yogurt - I was reading about it's values yesterday!
Something else I was checking out is Quinoa.
Anyone eat any Quinoa? My husband family is Japanese and eats rice like a staple. I was searching for a healthy alternative. I am wondering if it is band friendly. Personally I don't miss rice in my diet. For the most part I do not miss breads, rice, pastas at all. Which is strange to me, because I thought I would.
I have never tried that...but wow! I just looked up the info on it and it has a ton of protein too! I might have to try it. I wonder how hard it is to find...probably Whole Foods or something?

Hi Holly,
I know I have already posted, but reading your message this morning,

Congrats!
You are truly an inspiration....
Kristi

that story sounds ridiculous to me...especially since you can see the band during your fills with the fluoro. I can't even imagine that happening. My experience was Dr. Ortiz and his staff was the best I have ever had...anywhere.
-
I get this too!!!!!
yay...I am not the only one!!!

WOW!!! You are an inspiration!
If you don't mind me asking, what was your weight at surgery? How long did this take for you?
I weighed 351 when I started the paperwork process in December of 07...298 by surgery day on Feb 08, 2008...197.8 as of this morning.

ok...my "sign" is a WEIRD one...lol. If I am either at that point...where I need to stop eating or I have taken one bite too many...I start sweating just a little bit...but under my eyes!! hahaha I know...it is weird...and I have no idea why...but it happens every time!!
-
I did the shakes at breakfast and lunch...Lean Cuisine and a salad for dinner (with vinegar). I had done the Atkins diet before and lost a ton of weight...but I just couldn't do it again. Everytime I would try it...I would crave bread like CRAZY...and SWEETS. I thought the other way was easier. I also drank chicken broth through the day at least once...if I got too hungry. I know it is a lot of salt...but it worked for me!
-
All in the same week!! I am so happy! I still have a ways to go...but I am getting there!!
-
Does anyone have it? She really has an office in Snowflake and Heber...but comes to Mesa once a month. I am not lookiing for the USA Fill Center phone number...just her own office number.
-
this sounds really yummmmmmy! I am going to have to try it!

I am not expecting an exact answer...lol...but I was wondering to myself...with losing over 150 pounds...how much extra weight I have on me just from saggy skin....hmmmm. Anyone that has had a TT and or lift...how much more weight had you lost after surgery?
