I am so glad to be home from my mom's house. There has been alot of heartache since she was forced to move from her house of 30 years. On top of that, right after I got home from the trip to Mom's, my brother's wife half-emptied the house and took their two daughters while he was helping Mom. There is a bipolar issue with the wife, and she is divorcing my brother against his wishes. I had to go back there, as we are very close, and I am the one who can soothe him and talk him down from his depressions. He is permanantly disabled with multiple back fractures, and the pain he goes through daily is one of the reasons his wife left.
I am emotionally drained, having been gone for a total of 9 weeks of the last 12. My diet has suffered as a consequence, and I am just exhausted mentally, emotionally, and physically.
My internet connection there was very iffy, so the times I was able to get on were a blessing. I am home again until he has to appear in court for the divorce hearing.
I am "sucking up your strength" until I can get balanced again.
Hugs to you all.

Ladies is Sweet and Low made with nutrasweet?. It is a poison and they have done many studies on how it is really messing with people including causing weight gain
Sweet and low (pink packet) is saccarine based.
Equal is Nutrasweet = that chemical that is so bad for you.
Splenda is an altered sugar that tastes like sugar .
We are spenda people at my house.

COSTCO IS RIGHT BEHIND THE OCC, "TE_KILLA" WAS VERY REASONABLE THERE
At customs, this really confused me. The first time I went, we brought home some great tequila. The second time, they wouldn't let me take an 8 oz bottle of vanilla across. Wonder what that is all about?

OMG, Pammie.. that is great! I am so glad I haven't ordered yet!!
Cathy, I am hanging in there. With my mother's bankruptsy and move to my brother's house, and my brother's wife leaving him the day before Mom moved in, (no, Mom wasn't the cause.. seems like the wife had been planning to leave for 3 months prior,) I have been away from home for 7 out of the last 10 weeks. I am so tired, emotionally and physically, and am sort of having to "make-do" with the food here, but I seem to be hanging in there overall. I go home on Thursday, but will fly back the day before the court date and stay about another week then. Then, I am NEVER leaving home again.. lol... my hubby has been a saint about it all. Thank you, hun, for caring! BTW, you are looking FAB!

I am out of town at my brother's, and today is his birthday.... I will try to log on if everyone here doesn't think I am rude for it.

Tee-
I just had my first fill last monday and I was so nervous! :lb12: I didn't go to OCC since it's to oexpensive to fly there... so I flew to a Fill Center USA location in St. Petersburg, Florida. They also had the Floro (the floro was free by the way) and they sprayed cold numbing stuff on my stomach and I never felt the needle go in. I could see on the screen what they were doing. It was pretty cool. I had 1.8 cc put in but when I started to drink, nothing went through... so they removed .2 and it was perfect. You're doing great.
Hey, Jessie... I go to St. Pete on the 4th... glad to see your post!!

When you feel like you are feeling is the EXACT time you should be posting. Embarassment... not a thing on this board! You can tell us anything!
Yup.. time for a fill...

I guess I'm just wired differently. If two choices cost the same and one is 500 calories and one is 1,000, I'll take the 1,000. Its a better value!
OOHHHHH Rethink, rethink, rethink!

We were checking on the amount of food that my very tiny, 9 year old, picky niece should eat, and I found these. I thought they were pretty cool and am ordering one for her and one for me.

My daughter pointed me to this site. She is an assertive 24, and wants me to quit completely. When I am home, I drink one cup a day; here at my brothers, I probably drink three, which is okay according to other sites. 10 is considered excessive.

I have that same problem due to chronic dry mouth from my meds. My dentist gave me a tongue scraper for this problem, and although it nearly makes me gag, it does take care of the problem. Her other care instructions include water, water, water!

Big HUGS, Julie!
I have to tell you that I did the exact same thing... actually, I think they are used to it, and never get their feelings hurt. In fact, if you still weren't happy with your fill, Dr. Martinez or Dr. Ortiz would have checked it themselves. I was filled to 1.6 by Dr. Acosta, and was upset all afternoon. The next morning I went back and Dr. So checked my fill, basically withdrawing all the fluid and doing the fill again. He said the fill was only 1.5, not 1.6, and he left it like that. He tried for more, but it made my pouch "muffin top." He told me to follow the rules EXACTLY and to come back in 6 weeks; he felt that my esophagus would shrink and I would be able to have a bigger fill. I was, as you are, very disappointed, but I totally understand why after he explained it so thoroughly. I also felt guilty for not "trusting" Dr. Acosta, but I had to do what I thought was BEST for ME!
Oh, yeah.... my first fill was 1.2.... talk about disappointing... I cried all the way home.
Hugs on the fibro.. I am in the same boat... Take your lyrica!

WOOT! Good for you for making a dramatic choice. I am so glad you and Nicole will have each other for support.
We are so glad to have you!

I believe that all the fast food joints have to have nutritional information available if you ask to see it. I love what NY has done... it needs to be national. People just don't know what they are eating.
Hooray for informed consumption!

welcome

I am starving for fruit; it is like my body is craving it. I can eat 2-3 bites of banana, but that is about all we are supposed to have in a meal anyway. I like peeled apple... have to chew really good and gives you the satisfaction of having really chewed food, and the same with pears, which are my favorite. I like my pears softer and deliciously drippy. I have never had that golf ball feeling from pears, or, canteloupe for that matter. Pears also help keep me very regular!
What do you miss more than anything?

I miss liquids with meals, especially ice tea! I had to give up the southern tradition of tea sweetened in the pitcher, but I did enjoy it with splenda at my meals. Soooooo thirsty at meals.
