Hi there Marilyn, My husband is coming with me. We are flying in at noon on Thursday. When are you flying in? This is going to be a new experience but I am sure that everything will work out for the best with the van situation. I think that there are going to be some pretty neat people coming in on the 10th and I can't wait to meet these women (so far I haven't heard of any men getting banded on this day) that I am going to be able to take this first step with! Maybe with a group this big I won't be so worried about going out shopping either! Brook

Hey Marilyn! I can't wait to meet you! I am so excited!! I keep having dreams that when I wake up it's the day that I leave for my surgery and I am not packed or prepared to go. Still having to lose 7 lbs then they won't do the surgery because I didn't lose my 10!!! So I wrote in big numbers on my calender how many days and have started a list of things to take that will help. NERVES!! >

I guess what is scary about it is the unknown. I unlike you have not had my surgery yet and I am thinking worst case scenarios. Always knowing where the bathroom is so I don't have to vomit in the parking lot. Scary...that is the word describes something that you fear. I fear that I am going to get the band, feel crappy all the time, not be able to eat out because nothing will "agree" with me or when I do eat I will end up PBing. Wow-Just my opinion. Maybe after I have the surgery I will laugh my a$$ off about it.

It is seriously like this!!!! I know it is going to be an adjustment but...really? This is really scary! I was under the impression that we needed to chew and chew but gosh, I am getting scared. :-?

That makes me feel so much better! Thank you so much for telling your experience. I am glad that they give you something to calm down before surgery. I am pretty sure that I am going to be a nervous mess! I am so glad to hear that you are feeling well!! >

HEY!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that in 30 short days we are all going to be able to meet each other and get banded!!! heeee hawww!!! I am getting into San deigo around noon on Thursday. What time are all of you getting in? I am a little spooked to walk around TJ because I read in the news that people have been attacking Americans. But looking forward to getting it over with and starting new. M- keep me posted how your weight loss is going. Any tips that you have please share. I am with jetdeck . I haven't told anyone except my husband and plan to keep it that way. Although, because I have a very close relationship with my mom and dad it has been hard not to tell them that I am going in. (April 11th) Jetdeck, you will have to keep me posted on what you tell people when you go out to dinners and so forth. Good luck with your journey Brook

hey scared!! About 2 weeks ago I started getting cold feet for my surgery too. I also have April 11th as my "BIG DAY". I went about a week going back and forth before I knew that this was going to be good for me. I got on lapbandtalk and read a ton of posts and looked at the before and after pictures and it was awesome. After that I prayed and prayed and prayed, I feel like this is the way that God is leading me to go. I am so stoked about my surgery and to start new this spring. I really hope to hear from you and if you end up going through with the surgery you will have some awesome support there. ME!! There is also 2 other gals that I have been talking to that sound like great ladies. I am very nervous but soooooo excited!! Good luck and I hope that this helped a little BK

SJ, I totally can identify with you! I am fairly young (27) and have been on a weight roller coaster my whole life. I have gone from 190 lbs up to 270lbs and back down to 190 and now i am up to 250. I have to stop this before i don't have the motivation to lose weight at all!! I don't have my surgery scheduled until April 11th and have already started my pre-op diet so I could see someone saying that about me. I am 5'10ish and well proportioned so don't always look my 250lbs. Good luck with losing weight and staying healthy!!! God bless, Brook

Lora, I have also started my diet. I,like you, are totally out of control on my eating. I just can't stop eating when I am full!! I am hoping that I don't have a problem after i get the band. Is there anyone else that can go with you? I was told that it is much easier to take someone with you to help with the luggage and stuff. How is the diet going so far? I have lost 7 lbs in 3 weeks and need to lose 10. Anyways... Have a great day! God Bless, Brook

Hey Lora! I am also scheduled for April 11!! I am traveling from Idaho with my husband. How are thing going with you? I have been reading all the posts and I am REALLY nervous . What is your story? I am overweight by about 75 lbs and still don't know if this is going to be good for me. I am sure that if you don't find anyone to travel with my husband wouldn't mind helping out with your luggage, depending on how sore we are going to be. He might be carrying me.
