  1. good luck you guys!!! you'll love everyone at the OCC!
  2. So I just wanted to share with everyone how disgusting they are. They're the food based liquid multi from country life and they're NASTY!!! Today i mixed them with orange banana juice and water and they still taste really gross but at least i don't want to wretch. On the plus side i lost 2 more lbs! Good Times!
  3. i got shoulder pains before banding when i was really full, so it may just be a fullness thing...
  4. I have two loves, beer and martinis. i try to stick to beer so i don't get to crazy too fast, well i guess that's out the window! j/k! i will abstain from all alcohol until a really special occasion comes up and then i'll sip wine. wino-land here i come!
  5. i was out of surgery yesterday evening, thank you very much. I'm ALWAYS loopy, or at least strive to be.
  6. I'm officially a bandster and even though i feel a little hungry i feel GREAT. I will tell you guys how it went in more detail when i get back to the states!!! Catch Ya on the flipside, dude meisters!
  7. I'm so excited!!! I just got back from the pharmacy where i got liquid tylenol and phyzamine. WOO HOO!! It's all happening so fast... I can't wait. My Wii Fit said i've lost 7 of the 10 lbs their asking me to lose so i think i'm doing ok!! I will be sure to update the board with my experience... You guys were so helpful to me in the whole decision making process and beyond! :lb13:
  8. Here's one: If you are having head hunger, brush your teeth. then your mouth will feel minty and clean and you won't want to ruin it with food.
  9. See, this is exactly the type of insider info i wanted. Thanks for all your responses and keep 'em coming i don't leave until Thursday!
  10. So i have some questions for you guys who've been to the OCC before... 1. What to pack? My mom is worried she'll have to carry my luggage on the way home. Plus i want to get in some serious TJ shopping so i know i'll need to leave some room. I know to pack light, and loose fitting clothes... but does anyone else have advice/thoughts on the subject?? 2. Will we need cash? Does everyone in TJ accept american currency? 3. Is there anything you experieinced bandsters would reccomend doing or bringing? Like Gas-x strips or hitting up Revolution Ave for some knock off purses??? (The Sex in the City movie has me "shopping for lables") Thanks!!
  11. June 13th is my date! i'm starting to freak out!!!
  12. i was concerned about this as well with a BMI of 33.3. I asked OCC and they said any BMI over 30 would qualify. I'd imagine anything lower than that would require comorbidities but that's just my opinion...
  13. I would be interested to hear anyone's experience with this fill center, or any of the USA fill centers. This will be where i get my fills, unless i want to splurge and go back to TJ for one of 'em.
  14. Another great free online support community is www.sparkpeople.com you can track the food you eat and the exercise you do and it allows you to track your personal customized goals as well. There is a fun rewards points system built in to the site to help with motivation.
  15. I think the more important gauge of weight loss (ideally fat loss) is how you feel and how your clothes fit. I always assume when i don't like the number on the scale that i just got more muscle.
  16. I agree the system here in America is so unfair! I'm glad we are able to take matters in to our own hands without having to pay several thousands!! Does anybody who has already had the surgery with a low BMI feel their experience differed to the others on the general forum? BTW MamaMichelle: i love to see how well you're progressing. It truly has been an inspiration in my research!! You should be proud of what you've done for yourself and your future! *gush gush* dita?
  17. My BMI is 33.3 and OCC approved me for surgery. I had the same problem here in the states... My doctor told me I had to lose weight but refused to help in any way (medications, WLS). I also have a family history of diabetes and my glucose and cholesterol are at unhealthy levels. :-? dita?
