  1. Are you guys able to eat the whole thing? I have a hard time eating the whole portion, so i stop buying them. And are you guys still able to lose weight eating them? I used to eat them, and i was not loosing weight. Also are you hungry in between meals? Sorry for all the questions , but i am only 30 lbs away from goal and would like to get there before christmas.   2. As i prepare to move on from Dr. Miranda suggested diet since i plateau, I was wondering if anyone still eats lean cuisine. Even though i lost weight with her diet, I cannot see myself eating the same thing for the next few months until i hit my target goal. Also if anyone could share what they are eating on a daily basis, i will greatly appreciate it. Thanks
  3. I am eating the diet that doctor Miranda wanted me to follow, but yet i am hungry between meals. A regular meal is lasting about 2-3 hours before i am hungry again. typically i eat about 3 ounces of chicken and 1/2 serving of vegetable. I lost weight because of this new diet, however if i go back to eating food such as turkey burgers and such, i will gain weight should i get a third fill?
  4. Here is the diet verbatim. Breafast: 2 eggs or 2 slices of turkey ham or 4 tablsepoons of lowfat cottage chease 1 slice toast or 6 whole wheat crackers 1 medium size fruit or 10 bluberries snack: coffee with splenda lunch: asparagus and mushrooms satueed with pam spray and seasoning 4 oz turkey or fish or steak or 1 cup cooked beans 1 fresh fruit 1 corn tortilla or 1/2 cup cooked rice or 1/2 cup cooked corn dinner: repeat lunch or twice a week have 1 cup cooked oatmeal with lowfat milk and 1/2 banana or 10 berrys or 1 medium size peach Add 3/5 of avocado perf day or 3 teaspoons of mayonaise per day or 21 almonds per day or 3 walnuts. Dr. MIranda The diet has really works, and since i dont eat a full 1200 calories, i adjusted certain things about it like adding light ranch dressing to the chicken. My only fear is what happens when i start eating other food. Anyhow, I hope this diet helps anyone that might be in plateau zone.
  5. I started this new recommended diet by Dr. miranda because i reached a plateau and couldnt get out. Well, i am loosing weight like crazy but yet not seeing in the clothes. She wants me to report back to her after a two week period and in that 2 week period, i lost almost 10 pounds. I think is great however, i feel that i cannot eat the same food for the next 4 months until i am at my ideal weight. Does this happens to anyone? i am as of today 170 lbs and yet i wear a size 13/14. thanks
  6. Recently someone post about water intake and how long before and after you wait. all of us that were banded by Dr, ortiz know that we are supposed to wait one hour before having a meal. However, i dont recall dr miranda talk about before the meal. I know that mamamichelle had a post before saying that we should wait half an hour. However i recently saw a post about drinking 5minutes before your meal. Does anyone know what the actual rules are according to Dr. ortiz? Thanks
  7. no i have not lost weight in the last month. i contacted dr miranda and she gave me a strict diet to follow that barely adds up tp 1000 calories. i am currently 177 lbs and it has not change in a while.
  8. I eat small amount of food during meals, so i feel like i have a good restriction. however i feel hungry in about 2hours after i eat. i wait an hour before drinking, and i eat my protein first. Has anyone experience this? Should i be getting another fill? thanks
  9. I have seen that many of you guys drink small amounts of water at a time. I am able to drinkk big gulps of water without a problem. Does this mean that i need a fill? I have been wondering about a third fill since i am not loosing weight, however i feel that i have restriction when eating. I do however eat every 4 hours since that is how long the so called fullness feeling last. I really never feel full, i just stop eating because i am not longer hungry. thanks
  10. If I only eat three meals i will not be able to have 1200 calories per day. Before i was avoiding snacking, but then my body went into starvation mode. Regarding water, i drink about 80 ounces a day. I eat the amount of protein that it is suggested for my weight. I eat solids with the exception of breakfast, and i wait an hour before having a drink. So here is a typical day for me Breakfast: slim fast shake mid day slim fast meal bar lunch chicken portion, corn mid day sugar free jello dinner turkey burger no bun
  11. I have about 3.6 cc in my band or so says the doctor here in chicago. I am small amounts every four hours. However i have not been able to loose weight. sO when do you get another fill? In the papers given to us by the OCC it says that if you have no restriction is time to get another fill, however i feel that i have enough restriction, but yet not loosing enough weight. I eat about 1200 calories per day and workout about 5 days a week burning aroun 500 calories per day at the Gym. any suggestions!! (
  12. Hey everyone! So I have been trying to eat 1200 calories a day. It has been hard since i am not usually hungry, but with snacks like slim fast bars i have been able to make it. Well, my question is, I worked out everyday and the usual amount of calories burn are around 400 calories: Has anyone experience a good weight loss this way? For a long time i was unable to loose weight, until i started to eat snacks and increase my calorie intake even though the doctor said that i shouldnt, but then in reality my body is taking in around 800 calories because of my workout. Thanks
  13. Today for dinner i ate 2 veggie hot dog links (about 140 calories for both), and half a cup of salad with spritzer. I have 3.6 cc on my band. I was wondering if the people that had more than 2 fills eat this much food. To me that is a lot since for lunch i had a slice of veggie pizza and couldnt eat the crust. typically for breakfast i have a shake and possible a slim fast breakfast bar, but then for dinner, it seems that i can eat a lot. Anyone!!!!!

  15. I was wondering if anyone had a good vitamin that is easy to swallow and you havent had a problem getting stuck. I bought the chewable kind, and they taste really bad. thanks

  17. When i went to get my second fill i asked the doctor about the calorie intake. I told him that i have always been taught that you need calories in order to loose weight. He told me that was incorrect. He said that you need three meals a day with healthy choices, and than if you want to increase the amount of calories, you will also have to increase the amount of exercise. I sounded weird to me since for my whole life i heard differently, but hey he is the doctor.
  18. It has been 3 days since my 3rd fill and i dont feel that my appettite has change. I have 3.6 CC, so i am kind of worried that it might have stretch. On the other hand, I have a difficult time with some food. Also, since i have tried to implement the protein first, i get tired of eating and therefore dont finish(we went to ruby tuesday and had a kids meal grilled chicken, and couldnt finish it). SO now i am struggling with the amount of food and calories. I know that i posted this before, but now that i dont eat a whole meal, i am barely taking in 900 calories. I drink about 60-70 ounces of water per day, so i am okay in that dept. I am wondering what do the other banders that eat very little, how do they supplement their calories? Thanks
  19. Dr. miranda tell us to eat protein first, then veggies, then starches. My question is, do you finish eating all the protein before you move on to veggies, or do you mix them. Even though i had my second fill, i still dont have restriction, so i was wondering about the eating order so maybe i get fuller faster. Thanks
  20. Hey Everyone! I just receive my second fill with Dr. vitello in chicago. I asked him to take all the saline solution out and tell me exactly how many cc i had. Well with today's fill and last fill. i have a total of 3.6 cc in my 4 cc band. WOW, that is crazy. I will tell you all in a couple of days, how i am doing. the doc wants me to stay in fluids for the next couple of days. Well see. >
  21. thank you to all that reply. I am still confused about the amount of calories. If we are restricted, and only eat small portions three times a day(it was a typo, thanks mamamichelle), then how can you eat 1200 calories in three meals? I counted my calories with three meals and no snacks, and they add up to no more than a 1000. Needless is to say that i have not lost any weight in 4 weeks. Suggestions, PLEASE :-?
  22. I heard for some many years that we should eat about 1200 calories and with exercise, we should be able to loose weight. My hubby without the band, has lost 70 pounds following that regiment. sO my question is , once we received our second fill and beyond, and we can eat as much, how is that our body are able to loose weight? Dr. miranda says that we should only eat 2 meals a day without snack, so we are eating about 600 calories per day. HELP please

I am still looking for the guidelines for the 2nd fill. i am going today at 5 p.m. and would like to know. i heard from some other post that they ate right away, while in others they waiting 24 hours. since i am going 2 hours away, i would like to test the fill before i leave. thanks
