  1. Band slippage was my biggest concern as well. I asked Dr. Miranda how I would know and she said that you would be vomiting all the time. Of course then I asked Dr. Ortiz and he had a whole different answer: If I eat before 21 days my band will slip, if I don't call him if I have a problem, the band will slip. And finally.....If I don't treat my husband well and make his every fantasy come true...the band will slip. In other words, I think you're ok
  2. Are you sure it reads 10 cc and not 10 mm? I'm pretty sure we have the same band an mine says 10 (something) on the card, but it's a 4 cc band. I'm pretty big, 5'10 1/2 so I thought I might get the bigger band, but I didn't.
  3. bumping this up to see if anyone has heard about waiting longer for you fill. May have been a different forum though.
  4. I thought Arlington charged $50 for a change w/in 10 days of the fill? A friend of mine just scheduled her appointment with one of the US Fill center (was on the OCC website) in Auburn. They don't use flouroscopy, but the Dr. there knows Dr. Ortiz and they are on one of the medical boards together. I don't know his name but he's a bariatric surgeon and does fills one day a week. Does anyone have any experience with the Auburn WA US Fill Center?
  5. Yes Dr. Martinez is very nice and capable. The whole staff will treat you well. There were two in our group who were all alone. You'll be fine and so glad you did it!
  6. I've been reading alot lately about everyone's first fill and how some are feeling restriction and others aren't. I also remember reading somewhere on this forum, or maybe another one that the longer you can go before your first fill the better. There seems to be such a big discrepancy in some people's fill amounts, so I'm wondering if maybe some folks are waiting longer? It would make sense that the stomach might be less swollen and therefore a larger fill could happen, but I really have nothing to base that on. I'm 9 days post op.
  7. I haven't heard of this happening to anyone here on the forum but I'm bumping the topic so hopefully you'll get some help. Best of luck to you!
  8. I was there last week and it was almost chilly. Overcast and 50's
  9. I'm with you. I'm struggling w/ Mothers Day as it seems to have always centered around food in the past. Hang in there!
  10. Scheduled May 5th...Cinco de Mayo! Has to be a good sign!
