  2. Oh yeah and congratulations on your dress!! Its a nice feeling isn't it. Linda
  3. How far is Mukilteo from Arlington? It is 2 hrs, from Point Roberts to Arlington. trying to figure in a fill after, or maybe just spend the night and get my fill on the 6th. thanks Linda
  4. Hi, I was banded on May 14th, and I have hit a plateau myself, nothing in the past 2 weeks, but thats ok, i haven't gained any and that makes me happy, I always gain back what I lose. So this time I will not give up!! Linda
  5. I am so happy for you and your daughter, I went with my son, who is now 23 when he had his surgery, that was 6 months ago, and he is down 100, I was so inspired I went in May. I just wish lapband was available when he was younger, I would not of hesitated for a moment to give him a healthy and fun life!! now if he could just find a wife and MOVE out!!!! Dr. Ortiz and the other Drs. were so impressed by his success, that I had to remind them that this trip was about me, but that was ok, he was beaming in the spot light, where as before he always took backseat. I know the both of you will find the success your looking for, you are bonded as well as banded!!! something the two of you will share forever. Linda
  6. everyone has such cute dresses!!! we should hold a fashion show. Where in Oklahoma do you live? I lived in Broken Arrow for 10 years. Don't miss the tornadoes, but sure do miss the people. Nicest I've ever meet. Linda
  7. Hey they don't call it sunny Point Roberts for nothing!!!! Ok so it dosn't have to be nice for me to want to drink, nothing else to do on the Point! we have 5 bars 4 gas stations one grocery store and a post office, who can afford gas, so we all drink. LOL A caesar is like a bloody mary but made with clamato juice instead of tomato, and the rim is usually done with celery salt, topped off with a pepper or celery or olives or all of the above. they are good, most grocery stores carrys Motts clamato so you should give them a try. Yummy Linda
  8. Thank god for caesars, they have saved me, I am a bartender, yesterday there was an event called JOG FOR A JUG, and everyone that ran received a pitcher of beer, that was my job!! I went through 2 kegs, and not even a sip for me. And we finally had a nice warm day. I know alot of my weight is from beer, so I guess this is a good thing. Glad to see i'm not alone. Linda
  9. Ok is it just me, or does anyone else miss a nice cold beer on a hot day!!!!!! (well it's almost hot here in the northwest) Linda
  10. You always have the cutest dresses! You look great, I know you will have that dress zipped in no time. Linda
  11. You've done great with no fill!!! Keep up the good work, you look great!!!! Linda
  12. Hi, loved the video.. can you tell me why you have not had a fill yet? is it because you still have restriction from surgery? Thanks Linda
  13. Hi Anita, Do you have Nexus? I am afraid the borders will be backed up on a saturday! I no longer have Nexus, due to a campbells soup incident,(they accused me of smuggling beef because I had a can of beef barley soup i bought at safeway in canada! and the beef ban was on.) so i don't cross much anymore on the weekends. I would really like to go then, I would just leave early in the morning, and tough it out. So count me in on the 5th as well! see you then, Linda from point roberts
  14. I feel the same way, yesterday was my first day for solids, I am so afraid that I to will go back to all those old habits. It's funny, after I was banded all I could think about was what my first meal would be! Lobster, steak, mexican. then when the time came, I ate a little chicken and a few bites of eggs. And even then I felt guilty. Soup and shakes have been our comfort food for 3 weeks, I guess it will just take time to adjust to real food again. good luck, Linda
  15. Count me in too! I will be ready for a fill, and live in Point Roberts, so Arlington is the nearset location, Would be fun to meet everyone. Wow a fill party. Linda
  16. Hi, I was banded last week and one of the incisions is right under the left boob, right where my bra fits. It hurts so bad to wear a bra. So for all you gals going in soon, you might find it nice to have a few shirts with the built in bras, they don't seem to fit as tight around that area. Or maybe my incision was just higher than most.
  17. Hi Rob, It's Linda, Justin and I got home yesterday. I was so nauseated friday night, up all night with the dry heaves, figured i had to much sodium, it finally passed, I think I drank to much soup as well. My port sight is still really sore, guess it will be for awhile. Did you make it to Sea World? We just stayed the extra night at the Lucerna. Keep me posted on how your doing. Linda
  18. hi, I'm going to be banded on the 14th, and just wondering how bad the scars are, and thanks for all the advice, it's all been so helpful. Linda
