Has anyone heard of or tried the sublingueal drops of HCG? I found a web site that has these and it is much cheaper.

I'll let you know because I am going to try them at the end of August 2010! I bought them on line at a site recomended to me by a medical professional that is using the injections. She went from 315 to 164 so far. Of course she rotates the on and off cylces of the HGC shots. I am looking to get the last 15-20 pounds off.

Dr Campos told me that he would move my port for me too. I would like my midrif lipod and the port sticks out too much as it is now. He has done lap band surgery and would know what to do. Also keep in mind that Dr Ortez and the OCC is only a couple of blocks away from Dr Campos' office. I went to the OCC to have my band checked while I was there in April for my PS with Campos. I was worried because the food program that I use (Kay Sheppard) has a huge amount of not processed foods, I was sure I had stretched out my band. But no, it was great and the doctor said I could keep eating this way...I was soooo surprised that I didn't get yelled at for eating so much! But they are healthy choices and Dr So said that was okay and everything looked great on fluo, told me to keep it up. He also reminded me that the band could tighten up for no reason at any time. I like it on the looser side so I can eat lots of high fiber foods. There are times that it gets too tight and others times it is wide open. I Love my band and because of it I have been able to loose this unhealty weight and feel better about the way I look, I would not want to be without it! I find that most people have problems if they keep the band too tight, let it be a support for you and don't depend on it to be the boss of your eating. Let it help you be the boss. I have my bandaversity in June, three years.

Curious your reasons for staying in SD next time. I am considering Campos for my work too but don't want to stay in TJ the whole time. I don't speak a single word of Spanish (Canadian) and the violence there still scares me. When I went for a fill I stayed at a hotel near the borsder that had free shuttles to and from Mexican doctor's appointments. It was a bare-bones room but clean enough and certainly convenient.

I would stay in SD this time because I don't speak Spanish and the staf (La Case de Lilas)and the owner didn't speak English either. While I was there, 4 patients left early because they did not feel comfortable. It was very hard to recover while doing sharaids to ask for anything, I think it hurt my healing more than helped it. Giselle, Dr Campoes nurse was a big help (she even gave me here personal cell phone number to call her, she was going to CA to celabrate her boyfriends B-day and still told me to call for anything!) and she will not recomend the place to other anymore. It was owned by a female bi-lingul nurse who very muched loved. She sold it to this Antonio and he is ruining her reputation and not going to keep bussiness the way that she did.

He even moved the location to a 3 story condo in a busy neighborhood. Dr Campose has deals with the hotels in SD and drivers. Warning, he is a very handsome man and I was so surprised to see how much better looking he is in person compared to the internet photos. His hair is the color of a chocolate bar and he is as sweet.

I just got back from Mexico a few weeks ago for a face lift, eyes and boobs. The doctor was very carful not to do too much. The anitheiologist (sp) had me use the twightlight while the doctor worked on my face, then he put me under for the boobs. I was on the table for 7 hours. I love my doctor and the outcome. I have boobs for the first time in my life that do not point down! And all the loose skin on my neck is gone. His prices are great and he works with you on helping to transportation and where to stay, just talk to his surgery planer Giselle...she is wonderful and so helpful, they always answer the phone. Dr Campose took 2 hours the day before surgery for my consult and took pictures the the next day just befor ethe surgery. Barbar Sawyer highly reccomends him! I paid 8K for all his work, and everything else, including my flight, and 10 stay in a healing house. I will be bringing a freinds this winter to see him for work, we will stay in SD this time and all be there for each other...it can be quite a bonding experince.

There were a total of 4 ladies at the healing house that had lipo and the fat put into their butts. They loved it, two of them were from my Dr Campose and he does a great job, I did not ask what the cost was, they were laying on their sides and belly and one lady said that the lipo hurt worse then the butt. Another lady was there to have a touch up and her doctor paid to fly her in for the touch up.

Really? How much with Dr. Nyte and how much in Mexico?

That is a HUGE downer that your aftercare was that terrible. What a huge upset. Glad hubby is able to help you, and you are home!

Thank you, I feel kinda crappy today and isolated...I was stuck in bed for nearly a month before the surgery with the flu...so it's compounded!

What a nightmare about the after-care. Cleanliness is critical so you don't get an infection. That place needs to be shut down!!! I hope you told Dr. Campos. I'm glad you were happy with him at least. He is who I want to go to for my surgery because I think his work is the best I have seen (in Mexico, Canada or US) but I don't speak a word of Spanish and still don't like what's going on in TJ with the crime so I'm still on the fence. My second choice is Dr. Nyte in Washington State. I have most of the money saved now but I'm SO SO SO scared of the pain. I need an extended tt and inner thigh lift. I don't know how I can come back from that and take care of two young children. Anybody want to chime in on your recoveries, please do.

Dr Campos and Gissele both speek English very well. The TT is something that I had 17 years ago and it still is beautiful!!! Please check the price with Dr Campos and let them know that I reccomended him too? Barbara Sawyer

The good part and I would do this....Dr Campos has arrangements with Hotels in San Diego for low fares for his patients. He is worth checking out. Also I would save a few extra bucks to have some help with the kids, even part time would be great, the TT can really hurt. You will love the TT.

Can't wait to see photos too. In Mexico, the dr charges about 8-900 for the first area and 500 for aditional ones. He also will take the removed fat and put it in your butt, 3 ladies had had it done and it looked real good to me.

Sorry to hear that the aftercare was bad, but i'm glad everything else went well. I was just pondering today going to OCC for my 2 year bandiversary just to get stuff checked out. Just depends on if I can afford it at the time. I really want PS too, but money is a real issue right now so we will have to wait and see.

Just looked at the program you are following and i'm wondering if you bought any of her books. The ones on food addiction look really interesting. Let me know if you recommend any of them.

I bought the one " From the First Bite" and I had a freind send me a bunch of rciepes (she lost 165 on this program and has maintained for years) that I wouls forward to you if you want. I don't use them, I cook and eat real simple, there are ways to make this program as easy as fast food (almost). I don't ever see going away from this totally healthy and satisfying way of eating. I no longer am upsessed over the scale and weight, with this program, I just went down and never go up and that is a HUGE first in my life.

It only cost 30 bucks to have the band checked and the OCC wants us to do it once a year.

PS cost 1/3 of US prices in Mexico, but can still be expensive when the $ is not at hand and there is the down time to recover too. I had $ saved for this for the last 7 years and decided that it is now or never.

I am back from Mexico and had Dr So check my band. It is a couple of years old and a couple of the ladies that have gotten banded at the same time as I did have had BIG problems. I eat a food program from Kay Sheppard and I love it, but it has much more than the band rules allow, it has caused me to lose the last 15 pounds that I couldn't get off with the band alone, together the band and food program have been wonderful and Dr So said that I could keep doing what I am doing becasue the food choices are so good and the band is PERFECT!

That was good news, and the doctor that I saw for my face lift, eye lift and breast lift was great too, his name is Dr Campos. His surgery schedual lady, Giselle is great too.

The bad news is the healing house that I stayed at was a NIGHTMARE. La Casa de Lilas was to be a place to relax and heal and it turned out to be a stressful situation to say the least. The business was bought this last year by a man that does not speak English, he opened it up in a neigborbood of connected townhouses that had chainlink fences and barb wire on top, like a prison has, barking dogs and all. The aids DID NOT speak english either. The food was not good and the whole week I was there I had to wear sandles in the shower because it was never cleaned. "Eric" is the person that sets you up over the email but was never seen. Four patients went home early or to hotels because of the lack of care. I am glad to home so that I can finally rest. The first person to help me with a shower was my husband when I got home. Do not belive what you read they offer on thier web site.

I'd love to know about this as well. I'm not sure if it is a TT or lipo I need, but I have this wierd spare tire above my belly button that just won't go away. It looks like I have muffin top all the time and I hate it!

I'll get a consult eventually but i'm trying to get money together first. I don't have any savings left.

When they do a TT (which I had 20 years ago) they pull down the skin from just above the BButton, so you should be good. My issue is above that area and below the (ladies)

I have talked to Denise, she does love him, she had body work done and is very happy, she does look great. I just wondered if he is as good with the face and breasts. I can't find much on him. Thank you for your quick reply. Barb

I think he is okay, but there is not much said about him on the internet, any information would be helpful. I know lots of us have had work done on our bodies loose skin, but I am going to have work done on the face and breasts.

I have close to 200 people that work for me in Canada, and my company pays additional insurance premiums to insure they are taken care of in regards to medical, dental and vision.

I know more than I want to about medical and employment laws in CA. it’s amazing in some areas, and lacking in others as noted Red. However it’s better than what we have in the States, since its open to all. That is an amazing benefit. (And it has amazing people, I've got the best team located there - totally kick butte).

Ok here are my 2 cents, I first called Dr Q also,but when I didnt get a call back that was my first turn off. Dollittle called for me and had Joyce call after telling her my story I sent my pictures in. They called me back and Dr. Q only spoke to me for 2 minutes. That was my main turnoff also. I think that if a surgen is going to have my life in his hands he needs to give me more than a 2 minute chat. Then I started checking on the net, I found on CNN about a place called Go Sculptura and the pointed me into the direction of Dr. Campos. He took the time to talk to me on the phone for over 45 minutes and to tell me what he wanted to do do with me. And when I got there again we sat in his office for over an hour going over everything. I love the staff specially Giselle she helped me alot with post-op and with checking up on my son who went with me. My band is so unpredictalble that some times it feels like I don't even have one. At other times, same time of day and same food will get stuck. And yeah I do take advandage of those times. but I feel bad after and wonder if somthing is wrong, do I need a fill? Am I causing damage by doing this? Then it will close up and I am glad that I didn't run in for a fill.

I don't know if everyone has this same experience or not

You really hit me with emotion. And I don't feel that much.

I thought about this very thing this morning when I woke up and before reading you heartfelt post.

I DON'T FEEL THE GOOD STUFF. I feel the hurt, pain, rejection, anger etc.... But rarely do I feel the LOVE of myself. I really need to work on that again, it is forien to me and because I was damaged as a child and not exposed to LOVE feelings it is work to bring that into my life now.

BUT you have opened my eyes to what is really going on with me and I can't thank you enough. What you have taken the time to write is exactly what I needed to read and you are an angel speaking to me!

I need to remember to LOVE myself FIRST. When I do that, everything is posible,

Don't beat yourself up - if it were that easy we wouldn't need the band and even it isn't a fix all. Keep coming in here and just get back to basics and you will get back on track.

Due to a lot of stressful things going on w/ me I had to get a partial unfill and it is really kicking my butt! I am a stress eater and the stress is still there, so my eating has not been good. I'm just taking it one day at a time and trying not to get down as that will cause me to eat even more.

I'm also hitting the 5 day pouch test on Friday to try to get my rear in gear. Can't get a fill until the 1st week of Dec and even that won't put me back up to where I was so I need to deal for at least two months.

Are you still planning to start the 5 day on Friday? Can you send me a copy of what you are doing? I have read a couple different ways of doing it and wonder what the right way is.

Why does being thin make me feel more powerful and yet make me feel vulnerable too? I almost feel like a fake in a thin body when I start getting closer to goal weight. This is crazy because I love clothes, and they look better without the body rolls, but I get told that I look sexy, and then I freak out and EAT.

Insane, is it time for therapy or can anyone help me accept this and carry on? Therapy is so expensive and time consuming. Did I mention that I am an Engineer and want to do everything the easy way...there is no easy way to loose weight and keep it off, the band is a tool not an answer, it's part of a solution that is so complicated. But with the right mind set, I can do it and it is easier with the right additude, but then comes the remarks on how I look physically.

Also and this is big for me, when I am totally there for ME, I am not there for others and I know that my relationships will suffer. I miss the other relationships and find it hard to balance between giving to myself and giving to others, and I get lonely after a while and miss others when I have been immersed in myself.

I don't think that men or husbands want a wife that doesn't think about them as much. That is what makes them feel loved and cared for. It is hard to be torn between wanting them to be happy and putting so much thought and energy into staying on goal (changing old habbits) because it is ALOT of work physically but more so mentally.

I love my husband and do not want a fourth divorce. I know the pattern from the past.

I'm going to go on the 5 day pouch test on Friday also. Before, when I was really focused on the proecess I used a site called fitday.com to log all my food and exercise, it was free and it broke down calories and nutrition, it even told you when you would reach your goal weight.

I am bumed that I have to keep losing the same weight over again after I loose it.
