Yeah I am trying to leave the incisions alone.. I dont want nasty ugly scars so I am going to baby them.... Sitting is not bad so far.. I sit at a desk all day and I am trying to sit up straight so it does not start bothering me... 25 pounds is awesome Barb! Is that how much you have lost since surgery?

Thanks Barb! I am back at work today... I got home Sunday evening and took off on Monday and came back to work today... Got a little light headed when I woke up this morning and looked in the morning at my incision right under my boobs.. its looks like it was bleeding a little bit.. Must of bothered it while I was sleeping.. And i cant handle blood or anything it makes me light headed and I feel like I could faint.. So I kept having to go lay down on the bed for a while and then get up brush my teeth and then go lay back down...lol.... but other then that I am fine... I have had some warm broth and special K water this morning that is about all but my tummy is just a rumbling this morning... Still battling with gas but other then that I am good.. How are you feeling? How long did it take for the glue to come off of your incisions? I have a band aid on that one cuz my sports bra is bothering it..

Dr. Miranda told me the same thing too.. Eat veggies and fruit first and then protein...She said we eat so much protein anyways when we do eat, that we get enough of protein anyways and we need to eat veggies and fruit to prevent colon cancer.

Thanks for the warm welcome back! It feels great to be a "bandsters", I am sure once I get over this terrible gas and bloating (ohh and did I say diarrhea too) YES bad! I will feel a whole lot better.... Hope I am doing this diet right.. I am on day 4 today and so far I have : 2 fudge pops about 2-3 popsicles 1 1/2 cans of broth 2 little yogurts 1 bottle of special K water I feel like that is too much for some reason....But yesterday I had a capri sun on the way to the airport and then a tiny cup of broth at the airport in houston, last night I had like 4 fudge pops and 2 popiscles and 1/2 can of broth and of course water... Does it seem like that is too much to you guys... Should I be drinking more broth and less fudge pops?

First wanted to say Thank you all of thinking of me while I was away! Good news, I am banded! Bad news, I have terrible gas and pain at my port site and all around it... When I walk its really uncomfortable, I feel like I have to hold me stomach at my port site...I feel like it is strecthing or pulling alot... That is my major discomfort and then the KILLER gas that is trapped up my chest, that is making me feel like I am having a heart attack... And when I try to make myself burp it hurts coming up from my chest...Just hope nothing has happened to my band.... Its difficult to take deep breaths too... I know I am sounding like a whiney baby buy you guys are the one that will understand and give me some good advice.... Surgery went well, Dr. Martinez was amazing! He told me and Celia that we did not have alot of fat around our stomaches so hopefully we wont require too many fills... The nurses were amazing and such sweethearts! I wanted to take them home with me... The place was soooo clean I was really blown away... the rooms were awesome... didnt even have that hospital feel to them at all....very comfy... The friends I met there were great! Celia, and her mom Sandy were my saving grace! Celia spoke spanish and I dont know what I would have done out in town with out her.... THANK YOU CELIA AND SANDY! The others who were banded with me was Janell from Washington, Zack (15 yrs old) from Connecticut and Lee from Tennessee. Everyone there was such great people and we all looked after each other which made the trip amazing.... The only thing that I did not like was the traveling back home... I left TJ at 6 m and didnt get home and until after 6 pm... I was worn out and tired by then.... Got home took a shower relaxed sipped on some broth, ate a few fudgeisicles..(we are allowed to have those huh?) This morning (day 4) I drank a liquid yogurt which was yummy and different from the broths... A girl can only take so much broth ya know... I feel like I am on track to my skinny life! I will try to type some more on our shopping trip later.... Got to go lay down and cuz my port is getting an attitude with me sitting here at the computer..... Thank you guys for your prayers and thoughts! Any advice about this terrible gas I would appreciate it! I am eating phazyme and gas x like candy!

Kim I really do hate this for you! I feel so bad that you have to go through this and its got to be so damn aggravating too! Did you ask him if there was anyway to cancel the contract with him and maybe gett a refund or that is not an option?

I just wanted to say THANK YOU! You guys have been such great help and such great support for me while I have been preparing to take this journey! You guys really do feel like family to me.... I know I have aggravated the hell out of you all with all of my questions all the time but hey isnt that what "brothers and sisters" do! I really dont know what I would have done to prepare for this big day in my life if it wasn't for you guys! I leave bright and early tomorrow morning and I am very excited! I really appreciate each and every one of you guys! Wish me luck! I will see you on the "other side!"

I know that we are not suppose to do any type of exercise for 3 weeks after surgery and no ab exercises for 3 months after surgery. I want to start swimming laps at the YMCA and want to know when you think it would be safe to do that type of exercise since swimming really does work every part of your body really. Any one have an idea?

Ok sports bra is on my list now! I hate them cuz I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO BOOBS IN A SPORTS BRA!!! UGGGHHHH

I dont think I will be drinking out of a straw anytime soon! Dont like gas and want to avoid it at all cost...

Ohh yeah Erin one more question... I read about people saying to wear sports bar instead of a bra that has underwire.. Should I pack some sports bars too?

Erin your the greatest! I think that I got everything on your list. I think I am just going to leave my make up at home.. I am going to take just a carry on since I have stops between here and San Diego and dont want to risk the chance of my luggage getting lost.. That is my luck! I went yesterday and got $200 in cash to do some shopping, and since I am only bringing a carry on I wont have much room for alot of thing but I am going to pack super light, but imma shop though baby! Do you think I need to bring a robe or anything or can I just put my jammies on at the hospital.. I am meeting Mammaof2wins (Celia) there.. We are getting banded the same day, and her mom is coming with her so I have pretty much adopted her and her mom as my peoples while I am there.. We will be together pretty much the whole time.. HUH CELIA??? lol

Thanks Willi333 that is good to know! I dont think I could drink my soups either..lol I have to eat them with a spoon for that "eating" feeling too... Now broth that is no problem I dont mind drinking that but not the creamy soups...

Ohh didn't think about things like that, that have straws in them already.. I have a question and you may think I am crazy but when we are in the creamy soup stage do we literally drink the stuff or can I eat it with a spoon out of a bowl or would that cause gas.

Thank you guys! OMG! Good idea about them taking the nose ring out after you are under.. I never would have thought of that.... That no make-up part is ok with me... Less stuff I have to bring with me and less maintance while I am there.... Im sure after that one pill you guys talk about I wont care about anything... lol Erin tell me how you packed and what you wore... I mean tell me how I should pack in other words..lol
