Erin I can not believe you are on to real food already! Gosh time flys! Next friday is my first day on real food, I am kinda scared to move on.. I know it sounds crazy! Maybe when I move on to solids it will get rid of this lump in my throat! YES its still there.. Dr. Acosta said he thinks it will get better when I move on to real food so I hope so... Some friend want to go to the hard rock and eat that Friday night, but I am kinda scared to go. I have to retrain myself how to go out and eat again ya know what I mean. I have to learn not to STOCK PILE my plate and only eat a little bit and then wait to see if I am full... Good luck on your weight lost honey you are doing good... Remember slow and steady is way better then fast results...

Does our ports move?? Mine was to the left and below my incision, now this morning I was feeling and its right to the left of my incision not below at all.. Its like right beside it.. Does this mean that it has flipped?

Aww thanks! You guys are soo thoughtful and the best. Erin, I am actually doing pretty good actually besides the lump in my throat. I am doing my creamy soups, I can only eat like 1/2 of the campbells soup at hand soups... They seem to really fill me up pretty fast. So I am not complaining at all.. What about you? How are you doing? Your getting closer to eating solids are you excited!

Makes me wonder if the lump was related to Aunt Flow.... I mean like I said its still there but nothing like he has been the past couples of days... I just hope I dont have to go through that every month when she wants to show her ugly face though... Dr. Acosta called me back just a few minutes ago and he said that he thinks its gas and to just be walking and he thinks it should get better before I start on solids... I sure hope he is right cuz that feeling is just so ANNOYING more then anything.

Well today I feel a lot better, I dont feel the lump in my throat at all hardly. THANK YOU JESUS! I mean I can still feel it a little but NOT near as bad as it has been the past couple of days. The funny thing is, TOM came this morning and that seems to be when it started easing up. Is that crazy or what... Just wanted to give you guys an update, and say thanks to MamaMichelle for checking on me, your such a sweetie! Thank you!

Good info Misty! I am also thinking about what diet I am going to start when I start back on liquids... Probably low carb like you stated.. I have always done good on it and hopefully this will speed things up a bit too..

My sister is a wound care nurse as well and I called her and asked her about it and she told me to do it. I did not put it directly in the incisions I put it on top of the glue that was already there. It is fine and healing up greatly and is not and has not looked infected in the less bit. My sister said she uses it on her self and thats what she uses on her own kids so I felt ever safe taking her advice. Julie thanks for your concern but all is well...

Ohh no I dont plan to peel it anytime soon.. Im a whimp! Plus the one under my bra got a little irrated and so I want to give them all the time to heal that they need.. I even put a little super glue on that one to make sure it was covered completely... How long did it take for your glue to come off?

I am with you Cathy I cant feel mine either.. But I havent poked around much either.. My incisions still have glue on them.. Kinda scared to pull it off since I am only 12 days post op.

Thanks so much for posting that Michelle. 1 and 1/2 weeks left on my post op diet and I will definitely be using some of your tips..... I was just in the drug store looking for some unflavored protein, didnt know such a small bottle was so expensive! lol
