  1. You have come such a long way. The transformation is amazing. I too struggled with no weight loss and some weight gain. I was eating very little and excercising every day. I excercised less and ate more, and the lbs. started coming off. Remember to be patient, and step back and take a look at what you have already done
  2. Don't forget that everyone is different. I only lost 10lbs at my first fill appt. The weight loss has been very slow, but worth it. I am happy for your 10lb loss.
  3. The swelling in the tummy area eventually goes down, I felt and looked like I was 5 months pregnant. I didn't like it at all. It lasted for about a month. Hang in there, and hope you feel better soon
  4. Hi Ladyv, I had to have my thyroid removed about 5 years ago. I began gaining weight through out the years, and I tried losing weight but would lose 10 and then gain it back. I decided to have lap band in June.I lost most of my weight during the first month after surgery, and have'nt lost any more. We just have to be patient, and follow the rules, and most importantley excercise. So hang in there it will happen!
  5. I was banded at the OCC on June 6. I had a great experience, and met a lot of wonderful people! I hope you have a nice weekend too!
  6. I don't post alot, but I do check out the forum on a daily basis. I want to let every one know that my decision to have the lap band has totally changed my life. I feel so much in control. I don't feel like i'm losing the "fat" battle anymore! Every morning is a brand new day for me. And it is such an amazing feeling. I've lost a total of 24 lbs. since my surgery in June. I haven't lost any in about a month. But people who know me are amazed at my transformation. Most of my freinds and family don't know that I had the surgery. I am not ready to tell them yet. One of my family members who hadn't seen me in about two years asked me if I had gastric bypass done!
  7. Barb, I have a picture of you in those pants the day after surgery. You look amazing! Did you recieve my last e-mail? I hope your sadness goes away!
  8. When I had the my pre-op with Dr. Miranda, I asked her about eating cereal with milk. She said it would be o.k. as long as I chose healthy high fiber , low sugar cereals. I am already one week on solids and had my first bowl of cereal. I had frosted mini wheats.
  9. I asked Doctor Ortiz, and he said I should wait at least three days or a full week after surgery. But to be honest I'ts been two days since surgery, and I feel too sore to even consider any hanky panky :lb12:
  10. Congrats! I hope you have a speedy recovery. >
