  1. LOL!!! I like your wife already cedartown!
  2. Thanks Karenlynn! It is just one more step to a healthier and more beautiful me!! Plus I can wear perfume now and it won't be over powered by cigarette smoke! YAY!
  3. I am officially 10 days with no smoking!!! Never thought I would be able to do it but occasionally I manage to even suprise myself It was not easy to do and I still feel like I should have a cigarette in my hand but I just keep pushing past the feeling.
  4. Are you allowed to have Grits??? Grits are great with a little butter, salt & pepper!
  5. Oh....that is just gross! There is a girl at my work like that...always wants to talk about her BM! I just start singing Kum bah yah in my head till it's over! LOL
  6. I grew up with a family of Diet Coke drinkers..... think my parents even gave me Diet Coke in my baby bottle! It's not going to be easy but if I can quit smoking for this surgery then giving up Diet Coke should be a walk in the park!
  7. Here's to being loopy!! Sedated or not! LOL!
  8. You'll do fine on the pre op, just stay strong and hang in there with us! I waited to start my pre op diet, they told me 10 days and that I needed to lose 10 pounds....I started at 8 days and have only lost 4 so far with only 6.3 days to go. I have had the same worries and it is stressing me out too!!! Thanks to Cathy I know now that what is probably hurting me the most is the massive amounts of Diet Coke and the minimal amount of water that I am drinking. Tomorrow is a new day and I will nix the Diet Coke and supplement it with crystal light... I hate water so don't think I'll be able to do just plain old water by itself. You have a very interesting background story and know that we are all here for you if you need support and assistance!
  9. That's right...I do believe I remember cedartown saying he was a guy! lol! Sorry Cedartown but your seriously out numbered here!
  10. Glad to hear everything went well! Be sure to keep us posted!
  11. diet coke cancels out every water you drink huh?? I had no idea! WOW! I guess I should cut down then... LOL! I drink SOOOOOOO much coke it's going to be harder to give up than cigarettes and food!
  12. Yeah I know. I'm scheduled for next Thursday the 19th and have so much running around in my head. The things I have taken away as far as preparing goes are: 1. pack light 2. bring gas x or phayzime 3. bring lots of $1's and $5's 4. bring comfy clothes for after surgery 5. bring boullion cubes to the hotel I'm sure there is more but these are the things that really stuck out to me!
  13. Thanks Jann! That really helps! I ALWAYS overpack, even for weekend trips so for a 4 day trip I have no doubt that I will over do. I'm going to try to stick with everyone's advice though and just pack what I need.
  14. Glad to hear all went well! Hope you feel better soon!
  15. Awwwww! Happy daddy day!
  16. That's hilarious!!!
  17. I plan on going to the store to finish buying everything I'm going to need for TJ.. Including but not limited to: Phayzime and Gas X (just incase one works better thant he other!) Comfy stretch clothes that can be worn after the surgery and will still fit after I lose some weight! Other than shopping I'll probably spend some time with my husband.... Father's day is Sunday so I'll also have to plan something for that also!
  18. I'm going to remember that after I'm banded. I LOVE Pumpkin pie!!! thanks for the great tip!
  19. I know. I am probably more like you as far as I would want the swift kick in the butt if I strayed... Like I said girl keep on trucking and don't forget what this whole experience is about!
  20. hahaha!!! Ohhhhh loooord kummmmm baaaahhhhhh yahhhh!!!! lol!
  21. Can't we all just get along??? LOL!
  22. Hey Kitty Kat! Do not give up on the forum. While I do not believe in telling people there is no way to return from a mistake, I do believe that it is each persons responsibility to make the right choices and they are the ones that have to live with those choices. Keep in mind that people are motivated in different ways. While you and I make a mistake, realize it, and move on; some people cannot do this. Some people just need that little push to move them back in the right direction. Keep on trucking girl!
  23. That's what I forgot to eat last week!!! UGHHH!!! lol! I love bread but from what I hear it does not go down well and I will probably stay away from it after I'm banded.
  24. The pre op weight loss is to remove some of the fat from your liver prior to surgery. When performing lap band surgery the doctor has to move your liver to get to your stomach. The less fat you have on your liver the less complications you will have from this. They have some great videos on You Tube of the surgery, not for the weak stomached, that actually show this step quite well and you can see why it is so important. Best of luck!
  25. Good luck Suzanna! Keep us posted on your progress!
