Hi Stormy: I had my lap band done May 21, 2008 and had my first fill July 19. I went to mexico for my lap band and the next day went shopping wth other lap band pts. The only discomfort I had was gas which lasted about 2 weeks. I had the fill with usa fills and the only discomfort I felt was pressure at the injection site. You will be fine. Wished I had done this years ago. Good Luck, karen
