  1. Good Luck, Stormy!!!!

you are at the start of a fabulous journey!!!!

it's very sweet you miss your son so much. I confess I didn't cry over my 3 little ones once. I was just amazed how much sleep I got, lol. I missed them, of course, but look on this time as a mini vacation if you can. Concentrate on relaxing!!!

    Big Hugs,

  2. I have stayed the same since starting solids. I'm not disappointed because I know the weight WILL come off. I certainly could eat more than I am, and feel like I am using willpower a lot of the time. I have scheduled my first fill for Sept. 29 (the soonest my work schedule allows). I am being vigilent about no ice cream, no empty liquid calories but I am eating. I've stuck to the protein first rule but I am now able to eat close to what I ate before being banded...ugh!!! I just resumed exercising so I am hoping that will let me hold what I have lost until I get to my fill.

  3. Hi Jessica,

I don't know about the acidy feeling since I didn't have it but I remember being so worried at everything after the surgery because I didn't want to mess something up. I'd call them at the OCC since when I have emailed it has taken a few days to get a reply. I hope it goes away soon, sending hugs your way!!!

  4. I love the protein powder made by Syntax Nectar...can be found at www.prosource.com. It doesn't have to be blended, it truly dissolves with stirring. You can spinkle it on cereal, yogurt, etc. During the liquids phase I mixed mine with pineapple juice. They come in lots of flavors. My favorite is the Carribbean cooler which tastes just like a pina colada. I also have the fuzzy navel, the roadside lemonade, twisted cherry and more. The protein is whey protein. I don't taste an aftertaste with these like I have with some other brands

I frequently make ice tea and just add a teaspoon of the roadside lemonade and stirr! Much less expensive than the special k protein water per serving and very yummy.

  5. Hi Vix,

I don't know the science of it, but I found the Gax X to be a big help. I did have shoulder pain for about a week. It was worst the first day or two. Walking really helps with the gas pain, imho.

I have some gas tonight, feel like I need to burp, but I drank my liquids too fast at dinner. I knew I was doing it, but for some reason, didn't stop. Tomorrow I start solids and I know going slow is going to be a challenge for me!
