Welcome to the group! I'm scheduled to be banded on Oct. 10 by Dr. Ortiz. Who is performing your surgery? I had surgery (breast reduction for the first time in Sept 2005) and it was such an easy, painless experience. You go to sleep and wake up all done. I look forward to hearing about your progress through this adventure. This group is great about answering questions. Welcome!! I'm scheduled to be banded on October 10th and I'm beyond excited. I can't wait! It seems like so far away, but I have such high hopes for the results. What are you looking most forward to after the surgery? I can't wait to wear some of the more fitted styles of tops that are so in now. I currently look for the least clingy, boxy shirts I can find to 'hide' the fat. Also, I usually wear dark colors to visually cover up the bumps and bulges. I can't wait to wear white again. I'm interested in this too... I'm not banded yet, but I'm just starting to plan in my mind what my daily meals will look like. I cook for my family (DH and 2 young sons) and I'm hoping to just slightly modify my regular meals for myself. Anyone??

I'm flying in on the 9th and my dad is coming with you. My husband is staying back with our two sons and I'm so thankful that my dad will be there for support. I can't say it's the most fun I've ever had, but this is important and I'm so ready. What a fun thing to wake up to this morning!! Hello girls! What are the chances of two Utah Jessicas?? I'm so happy to meet all of you and can't wait to know more about this process. My plan is to have my surgery in Mexico with Dr. Ortiz, but I haven't spoken to anyone at the center yet. I'll be calling them first thing Monday morning. Utah bandsters...do you get your fills back in Dr. Ortiz' office or here in Utah? If in Utah, where do you go? Do they use floro? I saw a post from someone else in Utah last night. Hello everyone! I just thought I'd stop lurking and come out and say hello to everyone. I'm Jessica from Utah and I found this forum through a link on the Obesity Control Center site. I've been researching Lap Band surgery for a month now and just today discussed the idea with my husband of 13 years. He was for it and what it would mean for my health and I couldn't be more happy. I'm a bit scared about this decision, but more than that I'm super excited for the future. Looking forward to getting to know more of you!
