  1. Hi all, My boyfriend made this soup for me that is out of one of those Grocery Store register isle mini paperbook Quick and Easy crockpot recipe. Well this soup is so easy using Cambells tomato soup cans as a base, and the thickening agent is cream cheese. This soup is so yummy- in my opinion its like restaurant quality with great flavor and texture. I have it in PDF format, so if anyone who like send me a message I will forward the PDF file to you.   2. Hi Banded Ones, I am getting my band in 3 days, and I understand the process. Exactly was does restiction mean? Does more restriction mean the band is tighter and you can eat less, and if you dont have enough restriction you can eat a large amount of food. Just want to make sure I talk the right lingo.   4. Arlene, Thanks for sharing you story, I am getting banded in 3 days and I am worried about how my body will react. I know everyone is different, and has various experiences with food but its nice to know what kind of signs I should be watching out for. Tara
  5. Hi Kitty Kat, I love your idea of boudoir photo's as a goal when you get down to your ideal weight. I didnt even think about that yet, so I guess I should start setting some goals for myself so I have something tangible to look forward to; other than just shopping in the teenie bobber section at Macy's.   7. Hi There, I am on pre-opt diet now and the protein I use is from Trader Joes called Whey. It only has 2grams fat, 130 cal, and 11 carbs. I have dropped 4 ilbs in 3 days, but I am sure its all water at this point. Tara
  8. I sent an email out to Dr. Miranda, but have not hear back yet. Can anyone out there help with some of these questions I started my pre-opt diet and scheduled for surgery on 9-12. I have a few questions that I am hoping you can help me with. 1. Can I snack on the veggies listed below that are in the sald during the day and thru the day if done in moderation 2. It says we can snack on sugar free Jello- does that also work for sugar free pudding? 3. I added 4oz of soy milk and 1/2 bannana to my protein shake that states is 130 calories, is adding the milk and bannana okay 4. Can we snack on fruit at all if we're hungry like specifically an apple or would it be better to have vegatable soup? 5. Can you have the lean cuisine during the day and have a shake in the evening? 6. Can I subsitiute a small chicken breast or lean meat and broccoli instead of lean cuisine for dinner- need to have some real food. Do they just tell you to do the Lean Cuisine because its already portioned control for you? Thanks Banders! Appreciate the help, Tara

  10. Our sugery is scheduled for 9-12. I didn't see any else for that day....
  11. Hi Vix, Congrats- you well on your way now! We have surgery in less than two weeks. Any advice that you may have that made the sugery easier and anything you did during your first few days after surgery would be very helpful. I read somewhere that a woman placed a warm compress on the area near the port and that helped with the pain. Thanks, Tara

  13. Hi there , Everytime I go on a diet I seem to obsess about food. Mostly because I know I have to be prepared, and do lots of shopping, and I always seem to be planning on what I am eating next. I hope since I am starting my pre-op diet tomorrow and breakfast and lunch is a shake, that it will take some of the food obsession away. Some of the other posts suggested doing an activity, and that does seem to help. I like to call it re-direction with either an activity that is keeping you moving or keeping your hands busy.
