  1. I am having the same issue....I am sooo looking forward to the 199 mark, however, I have been stuck between 202 and 205 for the last three weeks. I am taking the advice to increase my protein and water intake and get that exercise in.....I hope to be back with a praise report SOON!!
  2. I do not have any restriction and have stopped losing at 20lbs. It's been 3 weeks and I hav only lost 2 lbs. Do you think I need another fill. I feel like I can eat almost anything!
  3. My sister and I had our first fill yesterday at OCC. They filled me with 1cc and she was filled at .8cc. I am so glad that I was filled before Xmas! Can't wait to start losing more weight... Lisa
  4. If your daily consumption is only 300 calories your body will go into stavation mode. It thinks that you are not going to feed it and it actually stores what you consume instead of burning it. I would definately bump up your intake as mentioned by others....Good Luck!
  5. I would reccomend switching up your exercise routine if you are walking you may want to try an elliptical etc. If your body gets used to the same routine it knows what to expect. If you change up your exercise it will be confused and be forced out of the plateau. And, as others have recommended, if you can fit in a few more mins. a day that may also do the trick. Good Luck and keep us posted, this too shall pass. You are doing great, and are truely an inspiration to me. Lisa
  6. Congrats!! You'll do great, the staff is awesome. Be positive and it will literally be a breeze!! Walk, Walk, Walk to get rid of the gas from surgery. My twin sister and I were banded on 10/24 and are going to OCC on 12/6 for our first fill, we may get to meet you if you are there in the morning! Good Luck and God Bless! Lisa
  7. Welll today was my first day on solids and it was not so pleasant. Woke up this morning with an upset stomach....got the stomach flu from my little girl. I tried to eat a little chicken at lunch and that was horrifying! Did not chew good enough and sure enough it was stuck in my chest, so I walked it out and called the chicken quits. Anyway, for dinner I was back to brothy wonton soup (so GOOD)! On the day I wanted to celebrate with a nice solid meal....and I am still eatiing soup...hahaha! I am feeling better now and I am sure tomorrow will be a better day. One thing I am scared of is stretching my pouch....it's like you have to learn to eat all over again. What if the food gets stuck will that stretch me out?? Looking for feedback, how often has this happened to any of you? I am worried that I stretched it with the Chicken. Lisa
  8. Great advice...I will do the same. I was at a social event on the weekend and could not eat and they had all kinds of food. But, I was amazed at others' plates, they were piled high. And I thought to myself...that was me a month ago. I can certainly say, I will never pile food on a plate like that ever again, thanks to the band. I am going to try the 3/4 of a cup for the time before my fill. Thanks again for sharing.
  9. Thanks Jazzy. Do you have any restriction before the first fill? Do you feel full sooner?

  12. The cost is what helped me to decide and the fact that Dr. Ortix has done over 6000 surgeries more than any Dr. in the US.
  13. I am two days until I can eat solids and I was wondering if some of you can share a sample menu of what you ate the first week after the liquid diet. Can you eat anything or does it depend on the person? I am nervous and wanted to hear some of your experiences. Lisa

  18. Oh my goodness...today was my first day back to work post-op. I had to meet with my boss and a couple of co-workers. I have decided that I am not going to tell them about my lapband surgery as a personal choice. The morning starts with muffins from Corner Bakery, I am fine, no temptation at all. I sip my water and all is well. We work through the day developing a training program for our staff and now it's lunch time. My boss decides to order lunch for everyone from Carl's Jr. (fast food), she passes the pad around for us to place our order and I order a large iced tea. All of a sudden I am bombarded with pressure from every side trying to convince me that I HAVE to EAT. I tell them my stomach is upset and I have no appetite. I wanted to scream "leave me alone"! Here's my dilema, tomorrow will be a repeat of today and do not know what to say. Any suggestions?????
