  1. Went and saw my doc today and he's been amazed that I'm still averaging 3-4 lbs loss every month. Asked what I wanted to get to and told him 145. He kind of raised his eyebrows and said I'd be really really skinny (like that's a bad thing...lol). So I asked him what he thought and he said another 5 lbs because then I'd be at 23% body fat. But he doesn't want to see me again til March so we'll see how much I've lost. I suspect it'll be more than 5 lbs...lol. But it does appear I'm almost done...I can't believe it!
  2. Went and saw my doctor for a checkup since I had my gall bladder out and mentioned I was experiencing heartburn. He said it may be time for an unfill. Really?!!! I've been at this fill for like 6 months and now all of a sudden heartburn. Anyone else ever had this problem?
  3. I will be flying to Waukesha,Wi the sunday following Thanksgiving. I'll be there for 2 weeks. Anyone wanting to get together for dinner please let me know. I've never had a chance to have a face to face conversation with someone who also has a lap band and would love comparing experiences.
  4. I just had my gall bladder out about 10 days ago. I vomited from pain but nothing came up. When I went to the doctor the first thing they asked was where was the pain, and from that they knew it was my gall bladder. I experienced pain beginning in the pit of my stomach and radiating around the right side to my back. I was diagnosed with gall bladder disease which means it was swollen and infected and full or stones. Hope you feel better.
  5. I had my gallbladder out last week. I was given a liquid pain killer afterwards and a painkiller that I breathed through my nose. The band felt a big loose, actually, for several days after and I got worried that maybe something got nicked. But eventually everything tightened back up. Good luck with your surgery and recovery!
  6. I was in the Navy for 20 years and spent the last 8 trying to reach the unreachable weight of 167 and now I seem to be only 1 pound away. I never ever thought I would get this close.
  7. Got the gall bladder removed last night. At least after this surgery I can eat normally. lol. And the recovery seems to be a lot easier.
  8. I've always been able to keep liquids down after a fill. I don't think this is normal. Keep us updated!
  9. And for all these years we've thought any salad was 'healthy'! Crazy!!!
  10. I'm having my gall bladder removed tomorrow. A friend was telling me it went bad because of the rapid weight loss. That my gall bladder went into overdrive to process all the fat that was metabolizing and that's what made it go bad. Has anyone ever heard of that?
  11. Got good liquid painkiller. Ready for the next time. lol
  12. Looks like I might have a bad gall bladder. Saw my surgeon today and he ordered an ultrasound to see if I had gall stones. He said if I do he'll remove my gall bladder.
  13. I've been banded about 11 months now and have had this problem 2x. I ate a small piece of pizza for dinner tonight. Had no problems. About an hour later felt like I needed to throw up. And I mean really throw up. Only thing that came up was air. Since then I've had a horrible knot in my stomach and throw up ever half hour or so, but only throw up air. Anyone had anything like this b4?
  14. No, nothing like that. Kind of burns going down and after about 1/2 glass stomach starts spasming and i throw up air. It's really crazy.
  15. I usually drink 1 glass of wine in the evenings. Lately I can't seem to. I'll usually throw it up. I'm never drunk so it's not because I'm nauseous. Anyone else ever experience a problem?
