  1. Amber, Im sorry that you are having so many issues and I think you have came to the right place for some little encouragement and advise. I agree, if you were banded by Dr. Ortiz, please give them a call. Second, If you can, find another fill Doctor. Everyone is different and you know your body and the Doctor should listen to what you are saying. Please dont get discouraged and I know it is very easy to do. I am running a pretty tight band right now myself. I would suggest you start back to the basic and stop worrying about carbs for right now. I am far from an expert but I would love for you to try a couple of things. It will give you protien and maybe will will help you from getting sick. r Right now I am eating the following options: Trying to stay away from snacks. If I do I try to snack on almonds or fruit. I drink water as my snacks...water is VERY important. I measure out my food as well. I cant eat over a cup of food at a time now....More like 1/2 cup right now....A couple of food that I can not eat is ..Bread, tortilla, Brocoli, I dont eat breaded or fried foods....I watch my cheese intake as well (very high in fat)...Maybe this will help...EVERYONE is SO differnt and you might not do some of these things... Breakfast ( I am very tight in am) Protien Shake (I use Max protien from GNC) very high protien and very little sugar.... Drinkable yogurt About 1/2 cup to 1 cup of Oatmeal thinned out with skim fat free milk.. S-Water I try for 20 ozs Lunch ( I cant reheat leftover, will get stuck everytime, I think it dries my food out) I can eat salad without any trouble, alot of people cant....Light Italian has under 3 grams sugar Refried Beans (low sodium) 1/2 cup Fruit. I LOVE fruit Yogurts I try not to eat meat, if I do I have to eat lunch meat,salmon patties (with ketchup) or ground turkey, CAN'T do anyother meat for lunch.. Dinner Im usually a little looser at night, Im ok to eat kinda whatever.... Again like I said I am far from knowing the right things to eat but I try my best to stay on track......We all slip, we are human......   4. Hi Ladies! B- Protien Shake S- Coffee L- Salad and a couple of bits of Manicati (mostly the cheese and sauce) S-Water D- about 3/4 of a cup of Tamile Pie (left overs, but it was SO good) S- More Water
  5. B- Protien shake L- Small Side of Mash potatoes with gravy and yogurt S- Water D- 2 tablespoons of middle of Tamalie Pie :-) Need to Drink WAY more water than I have today!!!

  9. Good Wednesday Morning Everyone! As of this monring I am back down to my 185 Yeah!!! I received my first fill under floro yesterda and I think it is going to be the best one yet! It was really neat seeing my band and watching the barium go through. My fill Doc could tell exactly how much I needed! I am SO ready to get out of these 180's! I have a PS appointment on the 25th and would LOVE to be in the 170's by then. I think I am going to step it up for the next week and half and work really hard. Anyone who would like to join me in working out EVERYDAY and logging, it would be GREAT support! Good Luck Ladies!
  10. Kristi! That is WONDERFUL information for all and Lindsay thanks for the post! I have GOT to get my butt back in gear with the exercise, just cant seem to get myself motivated, but I am going to do this!!!! I think it is great that you have a goal and the rate you are going, you will have those ABS and you will be in a Binkini (that is sad, see I have never worn one, had to make sure I spelled it right!!) in Hawaii I have put this one in my Save folder!   11. Hi Karen! I am sorry that you have been so frustrated but I just wanted to say you look AMAZING! I know it does not make you feel any better about your goal, but you have been such a great inspiration to me and have came so far. You said it yourself, you would be 300lbs by now. You have had a baby and your weight is 160, I think that is great! As far as the fills, I just had my first fill under floro this morning and I am SO glad that I did. Just to see for myself that everything is ok and yes I needed a fill. Maybe this is just what you need, go get it checked and see if you need a tweek. I have an appointment on the 25th of this month for a PS consult. I am hoping for around April. I wanted to get these 30lbs off and maybe by then I will be closer. I had a friend of mine to tell me dont wait, even if I dont have the weight off by then, get it done. She said she feel SO much better and can exercise and wants to now. I am still up in the air about this. Keep your head high and like someone told me, when you get frustarted go look back at your pics, WOW they are amazing! Thanks for sharing! Carrie

  14. ok again I have not moved, still up my two pounds from last week. I am going Monday morning and letting my Doc check everthing under floro and see just how much I really do have in my band. I raelly excited about having this done, never had it before! Angie, Hang in there girl, you are doing great! Debbie, You Amaze me EVERY week! Linnipoo! YOU GO GIRL!!!!! That is awesome, keep up the good work! Take LOTS and LOTS of pics, It is fun to go back and compare. Angie! lol@ the Insanity!!!...I think I have lost it for buying the dang things..lol No Hubby LOVES them, has not really gotten into them to much YET, still on his second wrong of P90X, he is so loyal....lol...I did do the Insanity ABS, not to bad honestly, only 20 mins of trying to break a hip instead of an hour +...LOL I think you are right, WAY to tough for me so I just have to do a little and say good job Carrie, maybe go longer the next time and let it go! I have found that if I set a goal of working out with Hubby for 20 mins and that is all I got, HEY that waws better than doing nothing! Do your best and forget the rest...OK OK, I have heard Tony Horton WAY to long...LOL Thanks for the Suppor Angie! You are AMAZING GIRL!!!!! You better not ever leave this boarD! Cookie, I have never tried hard candy, but I might try it, knowing my luck I will swallow the thing whole...lol The part about slip and falls, you hit it right on the head!   16. Hi Stormy! Hope you had a wonderful New Year. I am not going to focus this year on my weight, food, as much as I did last year. My resolution is that I have really going to focus on being a better person in all aspects of my life. Be thankful for what I have accomplished and be greatful for what I have been blessed with!   17. Omgoodness...that is funny! I have never heard that cheer!! YES the count down to "food" and look how far you have came. It is so amazing how those 21 days seems like forever and then BAM they are a thing of the past.... I soooooo remember the first day of "food". I tried to eat scrambled eggs for Breakfast, ate about two bits and had a very weird uhh ohhh feeling, you will soon know what I am talking about, I just did not know that Eggs would be a hard food for me to eat at anytime of my journey. I do remember thinking, that first day, that the food was really not as good as I thought it would be. Dont get me wrong, it was nice to eat, but was just not as big as a moment as I anticipated that it would be. Hang in there, and let us know how your first day of food is......... Carrie!

  20. Congrats to everyone! Very AWESOME job considering the Holidays!!!!! I did not weight this morning, I should have but I choose not to. I have been thinking about it all day and I think maybe I need to hold myself accountable and weigh! I have been really stress out the past couple of weeks and honsestly having been eating sweet through the holidays! I need to get over it and back on track!   22. Red~! It is so good to hear from you! It has been a long time. I am so happy that you have a wondfuld support system at home that helps remind you, what a difference that makes!   23. I too can eat just about anything EXCEPT bread, tortillas, and I will RUN from Broccoli and Raw Carrots..lol. I choose not to eat breaded or fried, but I can eat rice with no problems and fruit. I can eat all meat, just have to be really carefull with chicken. Shelby, you mentioned you dont count calories when you have a good fill. I know you eat chips and dip, I think I can eat just as much chip and dip as I did before I was banded, is this the same for you with a good fill? Can you give us an example of what you can and cant eat and how much with a good fill. I just dont think I am where I should be with my fills, but I have always had a hard time trying to figure out where that is..... Carrie
  24. Thanks Ladies, you are all so WONDERFUL! You are all right, I need to set back and look how far I have came, thanks tootsie lou!. Dont get me wrong, I am grateful for everything that has happened in my life this past year, but the mental part does get to you. I never thought it would but wow....Im not hungry during the day, I just got to STOP with the sweet cravings. I was watching a show the other day and I think my problem is that I take everything I do in regards to this journey over the top or I totaly blow it! I guess what I am trying to say is, if I do exercise I do it with Hubby for like an hour + with P90X or I dont do it at all. That video is HARD, very HARD. Like Shelby said, find something I like. I need to stop trying to do it and find something that is more on my level and work out for 20-30 mins, so that I dont HATE it because I have done it for an hour+ the day before. The same with food, if I screw up and eat something bad, my attitude is well I might as well make this a high calorie day and then I will eat sweets ALL day long! I should say ok, I ate that and do better the rest THAT day, not the next, ohh I will start tomorrow, uhmmm tomorrow is alwas the same thing for me and I need to stop this cycle! Dawn, I think this will be my new years resolution, maybe this will get me back on track! Lisa, maybe I need to find some classes that I could take to help me learn how "deal" with healthy foods. As far as the exercise, you look great! I just got to make myself do it, no matter what! Cookie you totally make since! Thanks! Carrie
