Happygirl, Dr. Ortiz told me that he has only had to close one person back up without putting in a band, and that person had lost ZERO weight prior to surgery. There was simply no room for the docs to work. I think that as long as you lose SOME weight, you'll be okay. I didn't lose as much as they wanted me to either, but I still got a band! -
Dr. Miranda told me that a lot of people were having problems with jello, and that she has taken it off of the post-op liquid diet. That doesn't help with your problem, but might prevent others from winding up where you are.

My surgery is also scheduled for the 25th. I am flying in the morning of the 24th. I guess I'll see you there!
