  1. Thank you for this post. I am pretty new with my band(3 months) and today I had my first stuck experience. It was pretty much as you explained. This happened at lunch so I knew to stop and do liquids for at least the next 24 hours. The question/problem is I tried some tomato soup for dinner and after about 4 sips I got the pain again like being stuck. This is confusing to me- Is there still food stuck even without pain and 4 hours later? Or is it that I am really swollen from my experience at lunch? I have switched to water and am able to sip that but not sure if this is a "normal" response after being stuck. Thoughts - advice would be appreciated! How long should this pain occur after being stuck with drinking soup or yogurt? Thanks so much
  2. Thank you guys for your responses. I do notice I am eating less but I think I thought it would be far less and I would feel more restriction...and might struggle with bread etc. That has not been the case... I think I will go by weight loss and calories and if I am not losing then to go back for a little more. FYI- I was in the waiting room against the far wall (purple shirt/long dark hair) I came in with a group of people from San Diego. Thanks again!
  3. Hi! I think I saw you getting your fill before me. Congrats- on finding the right level of fill for you! I have a quick quesiton- This was my first fill and I started eating again today and dont feel much restriction. I was not sure what to expect so I thought I would try egg w/english muffin for breakfast and was able to eat it without feeling restriction and tried what I would normally do for lunch- a turkey sand. I found I could eat half of it....I was thinking I would have more restriction. It seems like I am eating about 1/2 to 3/4 what I normally would... Will this change? or do I need more of a fill? Any thoughts would be appreciated...
  4. Thank you so much! Just want to make sure what I am experiencing is "normal" so to speak:) I am planning on going down beginning of September for a fill with fluro so just a few more weeks!
  5. I am hoping to get some guidance from you all! Well I am about 4 weeks post op and I am doing really well on normal foods. I am working to eat smaller serving sizes but I really dont feel much restriction at all. I assume this is due to swelling going down after surgery- I have healed well and fast.... which I am grateful.... I am a little worried: Is it normal to have no restriction at this point? I am putting a lot of mental energy into small servings and healthy food but I feel like I would be easy to cheat which I was hoping after surgery that wouldn't be the case. Will this change with my first fill? Thanks for your guidance!
