  2. i dalia. i would imagine fasting for ramadan is hard regardless, except band makes you need to be exxxxxxxtra careful when breaking your fast ~ chew chew chew and savor savor savor ;)

    Hearty Soups

    Egyptian Red Lentil Soup Ingredients: 5 cups water 1 cup dried red lentils 2 cups chopped onions 2 cups chopped potatoes 1 chopped medium carrot 1 chopped large tomato 8 garlic cloves, peeled and left whole 2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice salt and pepper Directions: Add the first 7 ingredients to a large pot; cover and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer 15-20 minutes or until the lentils and veggies are tender. Take pot from stove burner and set aside. Add in the cumin, salt and pepper. Puree the soup, in batches, in a blender OR you can use an immersion blender and blend to desired texture (you can add water if needed) Add in lemon juice when served Add cilantro- optional

    Thank you so much for the nice note and a big congrats on getting your band! You’re doing awesome! People with lower BMI’s do move slower so don’t stress about it. Just keep following the rules and make sure you’re exercising – that was my key to success. It’s a great tool we have – you’re going to love the changes that are coming your way!

  6. Thank you Lisa for adding me. This is Dalia from Egypt. I was banded on the 30th of June 2009. My weight before the band was 86 kilos (189.5 pounds) and now I am 81 kilos which is (178.5 pounds) I think I am still crawling.

    I am so impressed by your weight loss and you are one of the great inspirations to me.
