  1. it looks like you figured it out. i like the tulips.
  2. How did you know I was having a problem getting protein in? I found that whenever I tried to have one of the protein shakes, I was in pain after just a couple of ounces. It was just too thick and heavy. My solution was to add alot more water and to try to have them early in the day before I had much else in my system. Fortunately the HMR shakes that I have have 14 g of protein so 2 or 3 a day is all I need. I'm also trying to add to my protein with soy products such as miso soup (from Trader Joe's) and melted soy ice cream. The yogurt sounds great but is probably not for me because of lactose intolerance. I think it will be a lot easier once I can have mushies and solid food. I can't wait to eat some grilled salmon
  3. yes, it's me - i just recognized your username. i sent you an email earlier today.
  4. I just had sleeve surgery earlier this week - July 12. So far, so good. I'd love to hear about other people's experiences with the sleeve. So far most of what I've seen on this site is about the band and fills.
  5. Mike, I don't know the exact number, but I think it's alot more than some people (loyal to other surgeons) are claiming. But I can tell you that I had the sleeve done on July 12 and was completely impressed by Dr.'s Ortiz and Martinez, and the entire staff. Everyone was completely professional, knowledgable, and willing to address my many questions and concerns. Five days out and I'm feeling fine and looking forward to watching the pounds melt away. Personally, I went straight to the sleeve. I read up and researched alot and decided for me that the sleeve was the right way to go -- I wanted to have one procedure and not have to follow up with adjustments, fills, etc. I have no issue with this not being reversible; once I'm thin again, I'd like to stay that way forever! Best of luck.
