Just back from visiting my family and gues what I heard " WoW , you have lost weight" Great right , my Mom say : WOW you have lost too much weight , You look like a ugly SKINNY "! and then I heard it again from someone else ???? WTF ? after all the things I have been through , I AM a UGLY SKINNY , WHAT???

People can be careless and inconsiderate, dont worry about it. Most importantly you are getting healthy.

I am feeling very frustrated! November feels like it will never be here. When it is here I will just then be able to schedule my surgery, so i'll have to wait even longer. did anyone else experience having to wait and if so how did you stay patient?

Patience is a virtue few posses, I know I am not patient. But as far as the scheduling goes it can be as soon as you can get on a plane almost if you have already done your pre-op diet. NOV WILL get here I promise, it happens every year! I made my decision almost 3 mo before my surgery and I just involved myself in life to keep my mind off of it. I suggest (of course I am the consumate cornball) to draw one of those fundraiser money guages and color it and make it pretty as you save money...

trying to get my husband on board with WLS. It is hard since I am a stay at home mom and he is the income provider.

It is always hard to get people "on board" with this type of surgery. This is a gift not only for you but for your children too! a HEALTHY mommy is the best gift in the world!!!

Okay, bags packed, everything prepared. Weighed myself this morning and finally made it to my goal for surgery and actually went 1 lb past it, hopefully will have another pound or two off by the time I have surgery Monday. Everyone has been so supportive, I'm excited but the nurse in me is going through all the what-if's of things that can go wrong. Trying really hard to put it out of my mind. Praying for a positive outcome. Wish me luck ya'll

Just made the big decision and scheduled plication - terrified and could really use some reassurance. I'm more scared of what happens if I do nothing - single mom, two kids and I want to be here for them, tired of being the fat one on the sidelines and want to fix this. With plication being the newer procedure, I'd really appreciate guidance, feedback, warnings, precautions, - hoping to find some friends on here as I start this journey. -- Yolanda

I just got back from a trip, and was so excited that my hips no longer touch the arms on a plane!!! and the best part was that I had at least 6 inches of extra seatbelt!!! Victory is SWEET!!!
