  1. Hi Sandi,Congratulations on your success! Can you tell me what you're doing to make it work? I had my surgery a little over 5 weeks ago and I lost 10 lbs before the surgery and only 7 or 8 since (my weight is still fluctuating, so it's hard to tell exactly). I still feel hungry a lot, although I can't eat as much at one sitting that I used too. But I eat more often throughout the day. What surgery did you have? I'm really trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong...Thanks!Kelly

    Hey Kelly,

Did you have the plication? I can't remember. Hang in there...your metabolism is still changing, remember you were on liquids for a while now on solids, your body has to adjust. Are you keeping a food journal? I started keeping one with this journey and it has really helped. Somedays I don't think i eat much, but then when I write it all down it's more than I should have had. Are you going to the gym? Change things up. Do different exercises or just walk outside for an hour, go walk at the mall and look at all the clothes you ARE GOING TO FIT INTO! No more fat clothes!!! and make sure you are drinking your water! Stay strong!

  2. Sandi,

I have the same problem with the scale. My daughter yells at me for weighing myself everyday, but if I wait a week and haven't lost I get mad, so I've compromised now that I'm not losing everyday and just weighing myself every other or every 3rd day. Then if I gain I know I need to kick it up a notch. I think we all just want it to happen so fast, and actually it is, when you look at the big picture. Great job on your success. My goal is #50 by Oct (by my 42nd bday) I was banded July 29th and was excited when I was on all liquids...lost about a pound a day...yea that's over now...lol. I can see the changes so that helps.

  3. Great Job Sandie- Can I ask how tall you are? I am 5'7 and almost the same weight. Just the thought of being under #200 makes me giddy....especially in only 2 months. Did you say that only 15lbs was post surg? So you lost most of your wt before on the pre-op diet? I would love to hear how your doing. I'm planning on the lap-band. Curious to know why you did the sleeve instead

    Keep up the great work

    Stephanie
