  1. As far as I know, they shuttle people at different hours. You send them your flight itinerary ahead of time and they make sure that you're at the airport on time. Hope that helps! :bye:
  2. Hi Randy and Welcome!! I'm not sure what a slipped band feels like, but from what you said, I doubt that happened. I got the pain under my rib too and Doc said it was a normal part of healing. I'd get it when I bent over or slouched alot. It went away though and haven't experianced it in quite awhile. My port area is tender if I push around on it [to see how well I can feel it] Feel free to ask anything on here, there are alot of great people on this forum!! Darlene
  3. Great fill and great loss!! Let us know how your fill works for ya!!
  4. Thanks for posting your experiance Kim! I go back to TJ on the 29th for my second fill and if I need another, I may consider Dr. Susan. What did she do that you had to wait an hour? I can understand 20 min., but an hour? Hopefully she doesn't do that all the time??!!
  5. I burp very long, relieving burps!!! I'm over 3 months post op.....
  6. Thank you for sharing Alana! I started to cry because of how much your story's like mine!! I'm about twice your age, but the food issues we have are very similar. I've wondered for a LONG time now what makes some people gorge themselves on food??!! I didn't and still don't understand it. We must be born with something different in our DNA...it's so hard some times! I want you to know that I think you're a very brave young woman. Best wishes, Darlene
  7. I got lightheaded when I was on the pre-op diet. I wrote to Dr. Miranda and asked her about it and she said to cut out my AM Slim Fast and substitute an egg and a slice of whole wheat toast. It worked, I never got lightheaded again. She didn't explain why though.... I'd ask your Doc, you must be lacking something. Best wishes and keep us informed, Darlene
  8. And the answer is........????? Go for it girlfriend!!
  9. Oh Kimmie, you sweetheart you!! There's no way you can replace Lucy, but it's not wrong to bring another dog into your heart! I have 4 cats and love them dearly. They are each unique, their personality's are TOTALLY different! All my baby's came from shelters and each one was sick when I got them with one ailment or another. You get that puppy and know in your heart that Lucy would want you to be happy. Hugs and Love, from one animal lover to another!! Darlene
  10. Thanks Mona!! [i used to be iwantbanded but changed to fat2nrml] You'll have to let us know how it goes!! That is close to me , I'd say about 3 to 4 hours... I'm a chicken driver though, so Hubby would have to take me. Beats the price of going back to TJ! Thanks again Mona, really appreciate the post
  11. I've called local Dr.'s and I can't get past their nurses! As soon as they hear that I was banded in Mexico, they say "Oh, Doc won't touch ANYONE banded in Mexico!" They make me feel like I'm diseased or something! I'm going for my second fill in TJ on the 29th and am hoping for some good restriction. I KNOW that I can't go back to TJ the rest of this year, I can't afford it. So Mona, let me know how things go with your new fill Doc.
  12. I'm over 3 months out and can feel the lump where my port's at. It should be fine, but if there's redness, swelling or if it feels hot, get in touch with Doc! Take care, Darlene
  13. I love it when bandsters post photo's!! I can tell the difference and I'm sure you can in the way your clothes fit! I love swimming too, was out today with our daughter and had a ball! Keep up the good work! Darlene
  14. I took tea bags and heated water in the hotel room coffee pot. Suitcase with wheels!!
  15. I had baked chicken, mashed potato's with a little bit of gravy and corn. Ate very little, didn't finish it and got full fast. It was SO good though!!
  16. Let me know what you find out, I'm looking for some place close to home too. I can't keep flying to Mexico [although Id like to!] I don't like driving long distances either, especially in cities, so I'm stuck either way. :lb12: I was thinking about taking a train to NJ or NY, I could handle that.
  17. They can see everything with fluro [X-ray] It's eally cool, you can see your band, port and when you swallow the barium, it shows up as it's passing through. There's no guess work on finding your port, it's on the screen.
  18. I know I still get the pain in my shoulder and collar bone area at times when I drink or eat very cold stuff. I'll have to pay mind if it hits me in my rib area....
  19. Rene sent mine email and it took awhile, send him a reminder, he's super busy. Darlene
  20. I'm not sure, I always thought that is was from swelling and it did go away after a few weeks. Not really pain, just a pressure or pushing feeling. I've never got it again and I was just jumping around in the pool with our daughter playing ball. I was paying attention to see if I got any discomfort in my stomach area and I did not.
  21. Not sure what you mean by stitches? I had an odd feeling for awhile after being banded, it felt like something was "catching" under my left rib when I'd bend over or slouch real bad. Almost felt like something was in the way...
  22. Mona, What fill center did you speak to? The one in Jersey or NY?
  23. AAAAHHHH to have restriction..... I had that after I was first banded... for a short time. I hope you have it till your first fill. It sounds as though you still have a little swelling and it's helping you out. It takes quite a bit of food to give me the discomfort feeling. [Fill #2 comming up..] Your doing so well Cathy, you're "listening" to your band
  24. You look wonderful!! The blown up pictures really show the difference!! AWESOME!! =D> =D> =D>
  25. Congrats all around!! And it has to be doubley hard to modify your eating AND stop smoking too!! :lb24: =D> =D> :lb10: :lb13: :cheerleader: My Hubby chews and I absolutely HATE IT!! :bad:
