2 weeks post op, and feeling hungry!! Was feeling great and not hungry!! What's up with my crazy body!!???????? I keep reading here about how much will power so many have after surgery!! I admit, I'm jealous. HOW DO YOU DO IT!!?? I spent a lot of money on this too!! I want to be healthy as well as feel and look great!! So, why did I eat a bagel and cream cheese this morning??!! #-o Other than hunger.....

I was banded by Ortiz on 8/13... 2 weeks ago! And this morning I was so hungry and ate a bagel with cream cheese!!!!!!!! It went down VERY easily - and that scares me!!! ( http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/hotzzzzzing/

Today is exactly 2 weels since my LB surgery, and I'M HUNGRY!! ( I have been eating more or less as Miranda instructed, except maybe not enough protein shakes... But, this morning after my Cream of Wheat, I was still hungry so I had a bagel with cream cheese!!! #-o (normally I would have had scrambled egg whites with some cottage cheese, but I didn't make it to the grocery store over the weekend - so didn't have any eggs!!) Now I'm worried about a few things: 1. Why am I feeling hunger? 2. Why did the bagel go down so easily w/o any PBing, sliming or pain? 3. Will this ruin my Lap Band??!! HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!! ARE WE REALLY ALLOWED 'BLENDED" TORTILLA SOUP DURING POST OP AT THE LUCERNA??!! CUZ IF THAT'S ALLOWED, I'M HAVING IT FOR DINNER TONIGHT!!!!

Well, I got banded yesterday, and so far so good!! No hunger!! =D> I'm still in the hotel, so I'm going to order some broth right now.... Need to keep up strength, even tho not hungry!! YAY!!!! SO FAR, IT WORKS!!!! WOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! :-h

Hahaha!! Trish, you KNOW those paper panties were awsome!! I just wish the nurse would have gotten a picture of the 4 of us walking around like a train.... but, well, "SOMEONE" had to ruin the moment by barfing in the sink!! LOL!!!!! > HAHA!! I DID IT!!! I DID IT!! I DID IT!!! I GOT BANDED TODAY!!! I was so nervous!! AND FOR NOTHING!! Ortiz's staff was completely professional and efficient and so very kind!! We've had quite a few laughs here too!! LOL I'm currently writing you from my hospital bed. They have wifi and a flatscreen TV with satellite in each of its private rooms!! The only discomfort is UPPER ABS (LIKE AFTER A GOOD WORKOUT or AFTER YOU'VE BEEN SICK WITH A COUGH FOR A WHILE AND THOSE MUSCLES ARE SORE) and where my port was placed. It's still swollen there, but I've been assured it will go down soon. I can feel the outline of the port... Docs told me that since my BMI was on the low side, my port might stand out more. HE SAID IN 6 MONTHS THEY WILL MOVE IT `FOR FREE `IF ITS AN ISSSUE!! =D> Earlier this evening, I woke up from a nap with cottonmouth..... So without thinking, I took a couple of big gulps from my melted ice. #-o OUCH! Felt pain similar to having a huge glob of peanutbutter stuck there!!! Walked around for a bit after. That helps. I guess that's a common early side effect of band. There's also a cute little gizmo with 3 balls that you inhale deeply into 10 x's and that helps move around the air in ur lungs which helps dislodge some air in the intestines. Watever it is, it really helps! (bring GAS EX strips with you! A total must!!) A couple of the patients had issues with throwing up afterwards.... Poor dears..... But they still trooped along as the 4 of us walked around the clinic dragging along our IV poles in our hospital gowns and paper underwear!! SEXY!! HAHAHA! BTW, there was no cathater needed or used, nor were any of us intubated for the general!!!! Those were 2 things I was pretty nervous about..... Well, I was just given a pill to help me sleep and it's kicken in!!! I hope everything I've said makes sense!! I've taken tons of fotos, so as soon a i get a journal started, I'll uplaod them.
