mid section fat

Recommended Posts

Hoping some of the older bandsters can answer a few questions.

Recently I went to have my 3rd fill and Dr. So said my esophagas was swollen ...and wanted me to wait for another fill.

What causes this??and How are you losing the mid section subcutaneous fat??

I have lost inches but not too much in lbs in 9 months.

Can someone share a typical day menu please.

Thanks for you help...

I have two thoughts about the swollen esophagaus. I would say you have either stretched it my eating too much and/or drinking along with eating. My second thought is if he meant swelling as I usually think of swelling, maybe it is irritated and has developed some swelling because of that.

If it is my first thought, he doesn't want to give you a fill because he wants you to recognize your restriction and eat the appropriate amount without drinking. I am not saying you have been doing these things, these are just my thoughts as to what he might have meant.

Did he give you any other information or tell you what you need to do help reduce the swelling?

Losing inches over pounds is a normal occurrence. As for getting rid of the fat around the middle, I had a TT because even though it was shrinking, the rolls were still going to exist.

A bunch of us post our daily food logs under the "post-op diet and food" section on here. You can browse itto see what other bandsters are eating in a typical day! And if you find the answer about losing that mid-section fat, please share!
