Happy healing.

I am on day 4 after my circular tummy tuck and breast lift with implants. I am feeling better today, the first 3 days were a little rough. But every day should get a little better. They are very caring at OCC. you can't go wrong having surgery there. I go every day to get the bandages changed and every doctor that works there stops and asks how you are and visits. I can't wait to get the drains out, they are the biggest pain in the butt.

Glad to hear it's getting easier each day. Have you gotten to see your flat belly during dressing changes? How much longer for the drains? Happy healing.

Yes I got to see my belly it looks amazing I have never had a belly so flat. I am very happy with the scars they look great and they are low, and not ragged looking at all. My husband says it all looks great and can't believe how good it looks. I will probably get the drains out on Monday as they are not open on sunday, so i will have to put up with them for a few more days.

I am finally home. It is day 9 and still pretty sore. I still have 4 of the 6 drains in which is a real bummer but I guess its better than developing a seroma later on. I am still bandaged(wrapped) around the stomach they gave me a compression garment to wear after the drains are out. I do have the drains out from the breasts and have that garment on, its way better than the being wrapped. Every day gets a little better, hope it keeps going that way!

Glad to hear your doing well, I only had the front tummy tuck but I am looking into doing the back part now. Do you have drains in the back? and how is moving around or sitting, standing going? Also, I had no pain , are you on painkillers or just tylenol? and what hurts most? I hope my questions make sense, sorry..I had a great experience the first time, but I am still nervous. I want to do the back part of the tummy tuck and just wondering what the recovery for that is like.

I stayed in the clinic overnight and then stayed in the hotel for a week. I had 2 drains in front and 2 drains in back, and one under each breast. My husband took the last four drains out, basically just cut the stitch and pull the tube out. I am on tylenol now. I hated the feeling of being on narcotics so I switched. There isn't a lot of pain on the back ( it feels more numb than anything) mostly the front from the muscle repair. I am going to get the stitches out tomorrow, not looking forward to that. Want to be feeling back to normal but I think that will be awhile.

I too am getting ready for both a breast reduction/lift & TT in March. I am also wondering how it's going with you. I am anxious to get some idea for work/recovery. Also who removed the stitches you mentioned? I am a bit nervous. Did you fly home? How long overall where you in Mexico and the hotel? I am trying to budget for the hotel, med, and other things. I would love some details with possible pic if your up for it. My email is EcMjawad@aol.com. Any info you can give me would be great. I might also have to go have this done on my own, did you have someone with you? If so, do you think you would have been fine on your own..anyway I am gathering as much info as I can to plan...thanks for any help you can give.

I am doing good. I had my stitches removed by my regular gp. Yes I flew home, 3 hour flight and then 5 hour car ride home. Flight wasn't too bad car ride was a little longer but not too bad. We were in Mexico for a week. We stayed at the Marriott, it is a good hotel, their shuttle takes you back and forth to OCC whenever you need it. You get a cheaper rate when OCC books your room, thee restaurant gives you a discount if you are staying with them. I had dressings changed everyday and that costs about 20 dollars a day. Takes lots of cash, OCC charges 4% if you use credit cards. I highly advise that you take someone with you, as it is hard to get up and down out of bed for the first few days, and you can't carry anything- like suitcases. I will try to get pics on but I am a little bit tech tarded. Feel free to ask anymore questions.

Thanks for your response..how are you feeling now? I guess if I have to have someone with me I may need to change my plans..both my kids are in college and won't be home until summer...More time to think and save $$. Do you like the results now that your feeling better..I am still not 100% convinced to do both, but I think I would really like the "after" .. Where you put out or just light sediation? That makes me nervous too..Thanks for your continued updates..
