Kittycat
Gaining weight with surgery is normal, I gained 7 lbs...it went away after about a week, gas, bloating, water retention. It's temporary. bandgroupie
Gaining might have to do with swelling, gas, traveling on the plane, etc. Definitely refer to your post op diet for liquid diet guidelines. erin2796
It is normal to gain weight right after the surgery, it should be gone in the next week or two at the most. I gained 5 pounds and once the swelling and bloating went away I dropped back down.

denisem
I did the same thing...gained 6 lbs after surgery and by the next week, had lost that 6 plus 12 more pounds. I'm kind of stuck at the moment until I get my first fill....not gaining, but not losing either.
