Tadpole Posted August 12, 2008 Report Share Posted August 12, 2008 Recovery is virtuallt no time at all. I felt great right after the surgery and went shopping the next day. Going back to work really depends on what you do. I am a school bus driver and I was ready to go back to work in 3 days. Dr. O says 5 days after surgery is typical. mlgpdx Posted August 12, 2008 Report Share Posted August 12, 2008 I had my surgery on a Monday as was back to work on Thursday. I am an Esthetican & Massage Therapist. nothereanymore Posted August 12, 2008 Report Share Posted August 12, 2008 I was banded on Friday, flew home on Sunday - took Monday off and was back to work by Tuesday. But I sit behind a desk so I can get away with more. And I was fine with it - if I was doing anything physical for my job I'd most likely add a couple of days on there just to give my body more time to heal. Kimmy in MD Posted August 13, 2008 Report Share Posted August 13, 2008 Ditto Lisa's scenario. I did it over Memorial Day weekend so I had the extra Monday off before returning to work. At work, I just moved a little slower than usual. Was hard to bend over and pick up something from the floor by the weekend though I was feeling pretty good again, just tired and worn out. Sandy Posted August 14, 2008 Report Share Posted August 14, 2008 I work with a 60 year old woman who had it done locally on Friday and was back to work on monday. I had mine done on a monday but I only work part time so I had 2 weeks to recover before I went back. I would have been able to go back much sooner if I had to.
