  1. That sounds so good! I seriously have BLACK thumbs! I rely on generous friends with gardens!
  2. Hang in there kim, I have slowed waaaayyy down already, but I am trying to be patient. I am going for another fill in a couple of weeks. Stuck at the same weight for over a month. It does get harder and slows down as you go on. I like the percentage reasoning, makes sense.
  3. Your weight loss is incredible! Congratulations! Please let us know what the Doc says. Hope you are feeling better soon.
  4. Oh that sounds heavenly. I always gain some "water weight" from traveling. I tend to eat out and have saltier foods, so hopefully it will come off fast.
  5. Nothings changed since I had mine done in December!
  6. WOW! That is all I can say is WOW ! The Power of the Band!!!
  7. Ahhh, Paula the Party Pooper!!!! Gotta squash all the joy out of life.....does my chip licking count too?
  8. Hanna, I am planning on being there on the 5th and can't wait to meet everyone. Hope the weather holds out. I have to bring my new 7 year old though, couldn't get respite for him yet. Hopefully that won't be a problem. I need a fill too, but will get one when NW fills is in Port Orchard in July. My weight loss has been stalled again. No changes since May. Donna
  9. Yay Kelly! You are doing great, keep up the hard work!
  10. My hubby is gone for a week and I have the cat box and pooper scooper duty for the next week.......EEEEEKKKK! I want a vacation too!
  11. What an exciting time for you! Good Luck and keep us posted with your progress.
  12. I just suck the sauce off of them before I take the skin off!!! One of my guilty pleasures!
  13. If they treat you like that before the surgery, what about after? I sure wouldn't want that kind of care. Check out the OCC, it may be worth the expense of flying there. At least you are treated like a valued client and they are kind and understanding. I would recommend the OCC to anyone. They are great and supportive. You will hear very little negative comments about them...it is very unusual to see anything negative about them from anyone.
  14. Quite a difference already! You are doing great!
  15. I love the wings, but have some difficulty with the skin sometimes. I usually just eat the meat off of them. I can only eat 3 or 4 of them and I am full.
  16. So I haven't seen anything about it the last week, are we still planning on getting together on the 5th? I want to be there, but may have to bring one of my kids with me (I couldn't get anyone to watch him and the hubby is out of town) and he is quite a handful. It is a long drive and I just thought that we could get a head count and firm plans on when and where and maybe driving directions. Thanks, Donna
  17. Northwest Fill Management is doing fills in Port Orchard, WA on July 16th from 4-7 pm. So if any of you Northwest Bandsters need a fill, I can get the information to you. No they do not do flouro there.
  18. It is incredible the amount of food that I would consume every day too! Now it is such a small amount. My poor family gets harped on though when they "pig out" now. My fault though, I am the cook! I know we save an incredible amount of money on food from fast food joints. I was a Drive Thru Junkie.....I still drive through now and then, but get a yogurt or an iced tea! Just to get that "rush" of being naughty! Sometimes I pull into the drive through and don't really know why I am there...not hungry, just habit. Silly me!
  19. Kim, Try to go back to soups for a day or two to give your stomach a rest. This sometimes works for me. I have to carry baggies everywhere in case I get the urge to PB.....I never know what will trigger it, but I do think that stress is the factor in my episodes, either that or eating too fast. Some bad habits are really hard to break and I struggle with eating slow and chewing well, this gets me into trouble when I am really hungry and have to wait to eat something. It will be a lifelong battle though and I am prepared to fight it! One day I can eat something fine, the next day I can't keep it down. I guess I have a fickle band!
  20. Amber, I remember that post. I know that it is just a period of time that I have to go through. There is no way to completely eliminate stress from our lives, but it can be managed at times. I am going through a time where I am not managing very well right now! Just venting...it helps.
  21. Welcome to the club! I can't eat bread anymore. I sometimes will have a bite of something, but even then it isn't guaranteed to stay down. I usually get the sandwich and eat all the innards out of it and leave the bread. Pretty funny huh? Sometimes I can do crackers or toasted bread if I pick at it a little bit at a time and rest between bits. You eventually get used to it. French Fries are just like bread, can't tolerate those at all. Good thing though! LOL, think it's a blessing in disguise.
