  1. Seriously, your progress is amazing, Michelle! I am trying to add my own progress pics, but I can't figure out how to add an image in here! I saw the "Add Image" button, but it asked me for a URL and I'm not sure how to attach one to my jpeg file. I know there was a post about how to do this, but of course I can't find it. Help, please!

    Progress

A few photos from July of 07, to the day of my surgery, to July 6th of this year.
  3. I know that must feel so good! Congrats!
  4. Thank you!!!! Just curious, Lori - did you block his name or his IP address? I'm just worried this person (no way to tell WHO it is, although all roads point to cedartown) will keep creating new names and keep harrassing everyone on the forum. Not that I'm not appreciative, just trying to look out for everyone!
  5. Amen, Kim - thanks for saying something.
  6. I've done the same thing - drinking a good amount and swallowing it a bit at a time. I notice I get really thirsty at night and usually have 2-3 glasses before getting into bed. I try to drink as slowly as possible, but sometimes it's hard. I don't get uncomfortable, I just get a little burpy. Followed by a 3am dash to the bathroom! Don't worry, just try to drink a little more slowly. The important thing is you're drinking water!
  7. Thanks! I still have a long way to go, but it's things like this that give me the motivation. I guess it really is the little things that count.
  8. Today I was contemplating what to wear to a family brunch. I wanted to wear jeans, but my old jeans were too big and my new jeans were too long and needed to be hemmed. I found a pair that I thought was going to be way too long and pulled them on. I knew something was wrong, because these jeans were the right length on me. I realized they were a pair a jeans that I haven't been able to fit in for over 2 years and never thought I'd get to wear again. I actually tried them on last month just hoping beyond hope that they'd fit, but they wouldn't button. Now they fit easily - the button isn't straining to stay buttoned and my stomach isn't hanging over the sides. Whoooo!!! Before I could even say anything to my boyfriend who was in the other room when I put them on, he came in and said, "wow, those jeans look great on you". He's used to my jeans being saggy in the butt (somehow that always happened), but these jeans FIT. I haven't weighed myself in a while, but this feels almost as good as seeing my weight drop. Anyone else have a NSV lately?
  9. You look wonderful! Congrats on making your goal! You're going to knock your husbands socks off in that dress!
  10. Don't beat yourself up over this. We're all going to have those weak moments. Learn from it, ask yourself what you can do to avoid this situation in the future and move on! You haven't lost 28 lbs by doing nothing and one slip up isn't going to derail all your hard work. Just make today a new day! You're doing great!
  11. Hey Lynzz! Of course you can join! I wore a cotton dress yesterday, no belt or anything and I attached it to my collar. I looked silly, but oh well Congrats on being smoke free!!
  12. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? That is AMAZING, Kimmy!!! I'm at 6,054 right now and I think I'm going to go for a walk before it gets too dark. Good for you, girl - what an inspiration.
  13. It makes me really sad that we've lose a truly supportive person here on the forum. I hope you'll come back, Will. We need you here.
  14. I just think it's because we're eating differently. Before, we were filling our bodies with crap and that causes more frequent bowel movements. Dr. Miranda also said to limit your fiber intake for digestive reasons, so we're eating less fiber. If it becomes a problem, email OCC and see what they say about your less frequent movements. Mine are less frequent, but usually once a day or every other day. Never several days in between.
  15. Whew! I am so glad I'm not the only one. Mine seems to only attack at night when it's quiet, of course.
  16. Yes! I rarely leave my bedroom past a certain point at night because I know I'll want to snack. Thankfully, I have my boyfriend to keep my occupied, but he won't be there every night! I shut all the lights off downstairs in the kitchen, close my bedroom door and just DO ANYTHING until it's time to sleep. I also drink a large glass of water and brush my teeth a lot earlier so I won't crave food. Girl, you're preaching to the choir.
  17. Whew, you have no idea! I got back into a pair of khaki capris that I LOVE, but were starting to pinch a bit. Now they're loose on me! I wish I could have worn them for a little while again before they got to be too big, but I guess that's not something to complain about! I have a dress in my closet that I am DYING to wear. I think 20 more pounds less of me will make it happen!
  18. I don't know if this helps, but my weakness used to be stopping at fast food places. They were quick, easy, and cheap. To avoid stopping their now (as there are about 12 within a mile from my house!) I have taped a picture of myself from when I was thin to the inside of my car and made a little cartoon bubble coming out of my mouth saying "Nothing tastes as good as being thin". I got that from a member's signature and thought it was brilliant! (I'm sorry, I can't remember who at the moment). Try some negative association - when you see something bad that you want, tell yourself (even out loud) how bad it is for you and how bad it's going to make you feel. After a while, you'll start to associate that food with that feeling and hopefully you won't want it anymore. I hope this helps!!
  19. Ah, ok - I was confused about the difference. I've seen "anonymous viewers", too. Thanks!
  20. Is a guest someone who has an account but hasn't posted anything?
  21. Finally reached 4,000 - didn't think I was going to get there! That was my goal for today, so I'm glad I met it. I've still got a lot of catching up to do, though!
  22. I had the same problem as you, Trina! I felt like I was always in the bathroom. Thankfully, adding the protein shakes and the creamy soups helped A LOT. Like Dawn said, protein helps bulk up your stool. Also, watch out for the juices. I craved apple juice the first few days and while it tasted so good, it made me go to the bathroom constantly. If you're drinking a lot of juices, try diluting them with some water. These 21 days will be over before you know it! Even if it seems like a lifetime.
