I had the same problem! First fill at OCC Dr Romero put in 1.4cc. Second fill SLC Fill Center, doctor only could extract .6cc..... Where did .8cc go????? I might never know! Thinking about going back to OCC for fill #3, when needed. Arlene

Viactiv now makes a chewable vitamin in several flavors including chocolate, I take two of these daily. They also have chewable calcium cubes, caramel flavor is great.

When I sit down to a meal I cannot eat very much, but a little while later I seem to eat whatever I want. Somehow I think this is not good. I live in Park City and there is a Fill Center in Salt Lake City about 20 minutes away. Problem is the doctor is really really weird and made me very uncomfortable. I guess I bite the bullet and go back there or I find a cheap flight to San Diego and go to OCC. My weight hasn't budged in a few weeks.

Okay, so I was banded 3/20/08, and have had two fills. For the last two to three weeks I've hovered around the same weight. I have restriction, but I can eat more than I have the last few months. So, my question is really..Do I need a fill or am I at a plateau? I do not know...any advice would be greatly welcomed.

I just turned 63, not having problems with meds. I do take an anti inflammatory daily as well as thyroid and BP pills. But, I'm not complaining as the weight is coming off. I find I do feel better, not as many aches and pains since I started losing.....still have a few knee and foot issues.

Fills are tricky! My first fill at OCC, they told me they put in 1.4cc. When I went to the Fill Center in SLC for my 2nd fill, I only had .8cc, where did it go? In the interim they put back in 1.4cc again, and I have good restriction and am losing weight....go know!! Just wait and see, time will tell. It takes a little time for the restriction to set in. In the meantime I wish you good luck and if you are really freaked about this, call OCC and discuss with them. I bet you'll be fine. Good Luck! Arlene

You need to recheck that price. I believe that the follow up visits are $85.00 and the fill an additional $99.00. At least this is what I was told from Fill Centers USA. At least your doctor did not try and sell you diet pills so that you would return on a regular basis. I was very disappointed in the whole Fill Center process, and sorry I did not go back to OCC.

To all my fellow bandsters and future bandsters! Today is my 63rd Birthday and my 42nd Wedding Anniversary, and I couldn't be happier! I've lost 45 pounds (about 30-40 more to go), and look and feel like a new person. In my wildest dreams I could not have imagined this body change could occur in such a short time. My husband keeps asking what I want, but I already have it (so he's going to have to get very creative)!! Now for you Vegas bandsters, I will need your help in supporting my daughter. She lives in Summerlin and hopefully will get banded soon. She is an attorney, single and needs 'THE BAND'. My wish today is for everyone to reach out and obtain the goal that is within your reach! Hey Jessica, You are starting on a journey to break life long habits! It won't always be easy, but in the end it will be very rewarding. Which pre op diet option did you choose? I personally went with option #2 and found by filling in with sugar snap peas and other green crunchy vegies dipped in guacamole, I was able to bear it and lost the needed weight. However, everyones body is different. Between surgery and my first fill, I only lost about 6 pounds. I was very upset everytime I got on the scale to see no changes..except I did start losing some inches. After my 2nd fill I began to finally see the scale change. You cannot doubt yourself, just move forward doing the best you can and you WILL succeed......we all are or have been in the same boat...and the results are mind blowing. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

I eat about 1/2 cup per meal, and am doing fine. I actually got a little worried about it and went and had bloodwork done...but all came back normal. I find it amazing how little we really need. My weight loss is a little over 40 pounds now, I have lots of energy...but I do make a point of trying to eat as much protien as I can. I love my band!!!!

It helps it to get rid of that nasty knot in your chest.

I know this sounds BAD, but when that happens to me I wait a little bit then take 2 teaspoons of slow churned ice cream and it works like a charm.

Everyone loses differently. I began by losing more in inches than in weight. I only lost about 4 lbs between surgery and my first fill. Once I had my 2nd fill, the weight began coming off...quickly!!! Don't worry it will all even out in the end and you will be sooo very happy!

Did anyone else that went to a Fill Center USA have the doctor try and push phentermine? That blew me away!

Kim, you look really great! I especially love the new hairdo, makes you look more sophisticated...befitting your new figure!

I'm lucky to get in 1000 calories a day, really hard!!!
