  1. Good Luck to you all!! It's a piece of cake and you will be back home before you know it.
  2. Thanks everyone for your replies, made me feel much better. I had an EAS Advantage protien drink for breakfast today and I am feeling much better.
  3. I'm getting worried and wondering if anyone else is having or had this problem. I was banded last Thursday, so today is Day 5 for me and I have bad diarrhea. Nervous about getting dehydrated and will call Dr Miranda if this continues. Has anyone else experienced this?
  4. Hi, I was banded last Thursday and was very nervous for nothing. It was a piece of cake. They give you something to calm you before surgery, so don't worry about that. Also, you can take gas-x strips that dissolve on your tongue, but I never needed it. You can take a few bottles of water and get some propel or special k packets to put in the water. You are in the clinic one day and they give you what you need. The next day you are at the hotel and you can get whatever you need. Good Luck and do not worry!!!
  5. Had lots of gas when I used SlimFast, switched to EAS Advantage and no more problems.
  6. I guess others do, I also heard they have a computer at the hotel??? It is such a pain going through TSA with a computer.
  7. Than you so much. Is V-8 thin enough for the first few days?
  8. got lots of that, thanks......... my poor husband will probably be sooo bored.
  9. Have you checked recently? I'm pretty sure OCC has a functioning center in Cancun now.
  10. Thanks Kimmie and Kari....... So, I've packed Bouillion cubes, propel powder, gas-x strips, peppermint tea bags...and that's all I can think of. So excited, but nervous too. My poor little dogs see the suitcase and they are freaked...they always make me feel so guilty when I leave. Arlene
  11. I can't believe it's time, the last two weeks have gone by so fast. If anyone has any tips on things I should have with me,please let me know. Thanx, Arlene
  12. 1. It will be 1/2 the price to do it in TJ, Mexico. 2. Dr Ortiz is the proctor for the company that makes/distributes the Inamed lapband, that means that he is the one that teaches the American doctors how to do the procedure. 3. If you have doubts, you can arrange a conference call with Dr Ortiz. 4. My husband is a Family Practice Physician, and after speaking with Dr Ortiz, had no doubts about him doing my procedure.
  13. Here's my new ticker as of today....... =D>

  17. Hi Manda, Sorry you are having a problem. Carolyn suggested I drink EAS Advantage, it has 17 g of protien and really keeps me full. I found SlimFast ok, but I was getting hungry.
  18. Do you go back to TJ for your fills?
  19. Hello , Just wondering who will be there at this time. How are you doing on pre op diet? How are you getting mentally prepared? I'm getting very nervous~~~~~~~
  20. You should phone your doctor, that sounds like acid reflux or a problem with your band. Good Luck
  21. Hey you guys.....5 lbs per week is HUGE, and DO NOT let anyone tell you otherwise. IF YOU LOST 5 LBS EVERY WEEK THAT WOULD BE 20 LBS PER MONTH..... and that is too much too soon. Don't forget you must give your body time to adjust and skin time to catch up with weight loss. You guys are a lot younger than I am, I hope I still have some elasticity in my skin.
